He was developmental when we drafted him at least.
Yeah, wish he could have shown a lot more than we've seen so far unfortunately.

Yup seen it. Here's the thing about Miller's showcase at the Senior Bowl. There's so much wasted movement in a lot of his routes and yet he still gets open with relative ease. Once he tidies up his feet it's going to be next to impossible for a corner to hang with him.
I saw a tweet on day 2 from Matt Miller, I believe, which said Miller was either getting open or getting held on every route he ran - he was never covered. And this is after only one season playing the position.
What do you think it would take to move to the top 1/3 of the 2nd round if Miller still happens to be there? Think BB would pull the trigger for a 2nd and a 3rd?
Tough to know. I suspect he might end up fairly high on their board but giving up two picks for a WR? With the complexity of this offense? I'm not so sure about that.
RB/CB/KR Brandon Wilson, University of Houston
WR Will Fuller, Notre Dame
LBs Joshua Perry and Derron Lee, Ohio St.
RB C.J. Prosise, Notre Dame
CB/KR Cyrus Jones, Alabama
OC/OG Sebastian Tretola*, Arkansas
OC Mitch Smothers*, Arkansas
*if we're gonna stick with a similar scheme of the last few years instead of going back to Dante's ZBS.
At 6'2" and 220 lbs more of an Anquan Bolden type.

Steelers are interested in Miller as well, because apparently, they don't have enough pain in the ass WRs.
@manxman2601 has convinced me that I was being too hard on Miller, and his good week has helped to alleviate my concerns about sloppy route running, but I still find it difficult to think that we'd take him due to various reasons.

Given that he still has the second-overall comp pick in his pocket, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he moved up. How far he can move up with that 3 I'm not sure.
We can't trade compensation picks this year just FYI.
John Theus, OT, Georgia, 6-7 315
Paul McRoberts, WR, SE Missouri St, 6-2 202
I want a tackle with a good wing span that can at least make pass rushers run further to get around him. Both Vollmer (ankle) and Cannon (toe) were having trouble forcing Ware or Miller out wide.
McRoberts appears to have a good catch radius and decent speed. Ohio Valley Conference is not well know.
I would like to see us draft for the offense. We have a lot of offensive players with a lot of injury history: Gronk, Edelman, Amendola, Lewis, both tackles. 2014 was the exception where they stayed relatively healthy. Even Stork has had 2 concussions in 2 years, one requiring IR-DFR.
Not sure if Theus is any good, but he played in the SEC and is ranked #77 on CBS Sports Draft site. McRoberts was ranked around #100. I don't put much stock in pre-draft rankings, but I scanned a range of players and these two caught my eye.
Sup. Watched him in Sr. Bowl practice. Was dishing out the physical.I don't really agree with the comparison at all, DW.
I think Boldin (who's a FA, by the way, and could likely contribute here for one year) is a much more physical type of receiver, whereas Braxton Miller is more of a Percy Harvin type who relies on his quickness, explosiveness, and versatility.
Liked the OT from GA. Seems to have a mean streak.Appreciate the info. I'll have to see if i can catch any highlights of those two on youtube or elsewhere.
Miller may have had himself a great week in practice, but as per usual, had a meh game. In fact he helped that Pats if they are truly interested, he may fall to them in the 2nd round. Really depends on the combine now. If he does run the 4.3 he claims he can do, that will help him. Kinda like Devin Smith's 4.3 in the combine pushed him into the 2nd round despite only catching 30+ passes (like Miller).
I really don't want to invest capital into a project WR.
