Also, when you get a chance please do a google search for "Tom Brady arrogant", let me know if it brings up anything.
im not saying they dont, but nobody calls him a thug who is a bad role model and you asked me to cite all three

I understand these things just fine.

The above quotes come from Martin Luther King, Jr. You seem to be under the misguided impression that I'm saying African Americans should simply forget their history and move forward. I'm not saying that all. What I'm saying, and have been, is move PAST it and above it. Blaming one's current problems on slavery is simply a crutch for the weak and lazy to use. Their advancement has been largely due in part to taking on the attitude Dr. King spoke about that I touched on in the quotes above and also in part to assistance from majorities in an effort to help them get to a more equal footing. It's also another reason why I pointed to post-WWII Japan. The Japanese had every right to be angry and blame Americans after that. Not only did we reduce them to rubble and near financial ruin, but we also forced a man they looked upon as a god to renounce himself even though he remained in power. Instead of blaming and harboring hate toward Americans, they eventually became self sufficient and now are a power on the economic stage. They're thriving. They made themselves better when hate would have been the easier route to take. Tossing the race card out there blindly and in blanket form, which is pretty much what Newton did, leads to those who actually don't have an issue with him simply because of race to become defensive and all it does is breed contempt. He really should have just kept his mouth shut about it and gave a non-answer. Instead, he played the race card and made a broad, sweeping generalization.
"I'm an African-American quarterback that scares people because they haven't seen nothing that they can compare me to," oh yeah thats a huge pull of the race card. Don't you want players to answer honestly? If not then whats the point of asking any questions? Also are you implying that Cam Newton hates white people?

Is it time to move this thread to the PoFo?

Yes, I asked you to cite all three BECAUSE YOU MADE THE CLAIM THAT ALL THREE WERE LEVIED AGAINST CAM.

Sure it is.

Don't you want players to answer honestly?

He can certainly feel free to answer any which way he sees fit. He just shouldn't be surprised when there is a predictable backlash like what we've seen in this thread.

Also are you implying that Cam Newton hates white people?

lolwut? Strawman much?

I was 10 years old in 1964, I remember watching Ali (casious clay) mug for the camera and recite rhyms about how he was going knock his next opponent out, i Really liked Ali and all his antics. But even at 10 i realized that it was for show and learned a lot of it was to get in an opponents head.

Further, boxing isn't exactly a team sport.

they were

And yet you failed to cite it. All you produced was a link where Cam was referred to as "arrogant", which has been made against TFB and plenty of other white players.

If you want to make a claim then it's up to you to back it up.

i was legitimately asking if it was what you were implying? You keep saying how Japanese people could have hated America but chose not to; Are you implying that Cam Newton does hate people or something? And I dont think Cam newton cares too much about what is being said on this forum; it also seems pretty obvious that Cam gets crap he doesn't deserve, I think its because many people harbor prejudices that they may not even fully admit to themselves, these prejudices are partly what leads people to label Cam Newton with a negative brush. You seem to think it has something to do with Little boy and fat man being dropped on Japan. I think an emoji would be in bad taste after mentioning the deaths of hundreds of thousands so just to be clear that last sentence was sarcasm.

and we can cry douchebag

Ha so I'm a douchebag too because I don't agree with your close-minded sentiments.

Great thing about this country is freedom of expression. Downside is morons like you can procreate.

oh sorry thats my bad it should have been three different links
here

here

I dont think I need to post the arrogant link again but here is one calling him a bad father.

"Hmm, a thread on a black quarterback's behavior on a forum populated by mostly 60 billion year old white Trump supporters, this should be a reasoned debate."

-----> NOT <-----

PS I'm bringing back not jokes.

It's a good thing I didn't pre-emptive race card this one, now I'm not liable for all the racist **** people have said here.

"Douchebag" is FAR too kind of a term for someone who instigates racial animosity because he can't stand criticism of his grandstanding.

I'm not sure it's as simple as that.
I obviously don't know the guy personally, or anything like that, but I'd guess it's just the usual mechanism to get attention with maybe a little of that smokescreen mixed in.

like I said in an earlier post, there are cams littering our lives all over the place, and they tend to have a fairly typical pattern of behavior -- victimization is a big part of your common workplace attention whore or **** stirrer.

well, I have really never given one thought to cam's abilities as a father, but somewhere in this emo ****storm of cam pontification I see he apparently named his kid 'chosen', so I'm giving him a pff grade of -0.3 on that.

Trying to change the meaning of what he said doesn't improve your argument. He's saying that people can choose to rise and overcome both individually and culturally. He acknowledges that racism is a huge problem, but that some in the black community use past oppression and perceived and real current oppression as a crutch and excuse not to. He also cited that black leaders, including MLK agree with that point. The only way to crush this ******** forever is for everyone to acknowledge the hate and past actions, and move forward together to overcome them.

You disagreed with my post earlier where I said that the rampant misapplication of the label racism was harmful to the cause of overcoming it. That, combined with your twisting of Kontra's meaning clearly demonstrate the flaws of your perspective.
