OT: Cam Newton & the race card

Mike and Mike this morning, with replacement doofuses in place of the regular doofuses was all about this. Ryan Clark was there.
The 3 basically concluded that there is no reason to dislike Newton except that he is black.
Example: "Tom Brady celebrates, so you can't say you don't like Newton because he does"
What a bunch of idiots. Nobody likes TB outside of New England . Wasn't that their topic last week?

Cam's feeling the pressure of having to beat a 39-year-old, duck-throwing, pizza-hawking geezer.

If he loses, he'll set Civil Rights in America back 50 years.
But if Peyton loses, what becomes of all those poor souls with abnormally shaped foreheads? Thousands of them have lived vicariously through his exploits and are seeking validation.

I didn't know Colin Kaepernick was African American, which sucks because I didn't like his bicep kissing celebration and now I'm a racist...

In the above sentence you can substitute African Americans for whites trash, hispanic, Asian, etc.

Wasn't surprised to see that you are a French-Canadian two pages after this post. What French royal family are you from?

Perhaps not all, but I am sure there are quite a few who simply can't stand him primarily due to his race.

I don't buy that. Quite a few? I'm a 49 year old white guy. I have not known or ran into many racists in my lifetime.

When Cam came into the league I thought he was going to be an arrogant bust but I was wrong. My opinion changed because of his performance last year. He played noticeably hurt and I enjoyed watching him willing his team to win. He is a decent QB and he seems like a good leader for that team. I'm not big on the show boating thing but it doesn't bother me either. Giving the ball to the kids thing is great.

Cam is a loud showboating type of guy. I understand why some people don't like it. If I was a younger Panthers fan I'd probably love it.

My favorite Panther is Luke Kuechly  .... but he's white:eek: ... what do I do now.

Dan Le ****** is going to label me Klan now ... :p

Cam is a confused man. Some people dont like him not because he's black, its because of his antics.
I totally agree. Newton has the talent and has demonstrated the dedication and focus required to be a great QB. He is someone that a fan of the NFL wants to embrace. That said, criticism comes with the territory. He obviously has a short memory and a front runner mentality. During his first few years the veterans on the team were making public statements that he needed to handle adversity better and not be so hard on himself for the betterment of the team. He would be well served by remembering that he was treated fairly by the same people when things were rough who now do not appreciate him for being so ****y when things are going well. Unless his outlook and style of play change he has no chance of being GOAT.

He's about to get some humble pie soon.

I'm probably in the minority, but I like Cam. He plays tough, is becoming a very good pocket passer and plays big (a lot of big guys, don't engage, he's not afraid). He's a unique QB. We have never seen a QB that big, who is that mobile and can pass as well.

I see him get called a douche or try-hard all the time.
where? because other than Fans I have never seen it

Even as a Pats fan I really like Cam and will be pulling for him in the Superbowl. As for the race card, whatever. If your OK with Gronk Spikes you should be OK with the DAB. Politically correct and football should have no relation. LET THE FREAKING GUYS HAVE FUN IN THE END ZONE. WHITE, BLACK OR GREEN.

Yes. it's true. People with personal computers are ruining the world.
I think politically correct people with personal computers are the REAL assholes. By contrast, I'm politically incorrect and use a Macintosh.

where? because other than Fans I have never seen it

Who else other than fans? Watt is white, so there's not really any race-baiting articles for the media to publish like there's been for Newton.
