OT: Michael Sam wants another shot at the NFL

Can he get us 2 seconds?

If he can make it about football instead of about himself this time, I wish him luck.

I'm thinking that he and Johnny Football ought to hang out together. They're cut from the same moral and ethical cloth.

In the media's eyes, his skill set didn't matter. They had a pro-gay agenda and were pandering to the gay demographic and he hit square in the black for each of their targets.

To my mind, the hype the media gave him about being the first openly gay NFL player was a disservice of biblical proportions. The media simply couldn't bring themselves to admit that, at best, he was practice-squad material. In the end, once he couldn't make it on the field, the media who held him up as their new and shiny thing just walked away, leaving him like a jilted bride. Alone, and not really accepting what had just happened.

Oh well, there are lots of things in life that we "want" but can't have. Sorry, Mike, you may want another shot at the NFL, but the apparently NONE of the NFL teams want another shot at you.

I'm 50, 190 lbs, in reasonable shape. I was not a good athlete, but I love football. I would like a shot at the NFL too.

I'll take a swing at Natalie Portman while I'm at it.

He wasn't even average in a single measurable. He knew he had one shot to make it to the NFL he played the card he had and the media soaked it up. The NFL sold a lot of jerseys. Every play he made was the greatest thing ever. The fact is he was a sub par player who if he didn't come out as homosexual would have had a less memorable career than Jake Bequette. The media only cared because he is homosexual which is clearly discrimination.

I am so tired of this guy and his sorry attempt at using his sexuality to open a door for his football career.

His sexuality has nothing to do with why he is not in the NFL and has everything to do with the fact that he is not NFL talent.

If he played like Von Miller no one would care if he was homosexual.

Exactly, he got slower and less athletic from his rookie combine to the veteran combine, so clearly he is not putting in the work and thinks he is owed something because of who he is attracted to in his personal life.
