LaDainian Tomlinson Goes Off On Patriots Fans: “STOP WHINING!”

Hey, we may be an overly sensitive, entitled and spoiled fan base...at times, but we shouldn't have to hear it from a guy who hasn't stopped whining about the Pats since 2006 divisional round game in SD. ;)

I am not going to waste my time listening to what he has to say, even if he may be right in some respects. Listening to him whine about Pats fans whining, is lot like the Captain of the Titanic complaining about how another ship captain SUCCESSFULLY steered his ship through an ice field. So, whatever he may be saying, though he very well could right on some points, but considering the source, it is worthy of "disregarding". Oh the irony in all of this. If it was someone more "credible" than this whiny little buffoon, then maybe I would "take it under advisement", but from him, not so much.

Yea, who's whining? About what? I don't think I've ever been more accepting of a playoff loss than I am about this last one. Sure we're going to contemplate the what ifs and over analyze things but everyone does. Sounds like LdT just wanting to pile on pats fans cause it's the hip thing to do these days
Clearly, you have been a selective reader of the threads out here this week. :) There's been enough whining about the "coaching decisions" and a few other matters to fill the Grand Canyon.

(PS: I understand the irony of LT's complaining about whining! But even a broken (analog) clock is right twice a day...unless you're on the 24 hour system when it's only right once a day...but I digress!)

This thread is useless if I can't bash LadyT, which I really can't. At least not for this.

There is a difference between whinnying and analysing. That is all.

But I don't really think that's whining and I don't think it's fair to single out Pats fans for it. But you know anytime you can rag on a Patriots fan people are gonna love it

I don't consider discussing the game and the reasons we lost whining. Which is what I've seen here for the most part. I actually think most fans have been taking this loss decently. I didn't click the link, btw.

Wanting to gut half the team is definitely whining and that's much of what I have seen here. Most crybaby bullish.t since the KC loss.

I thought it was whining, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
And, I don't care about people ragging on us. They're going to keep on doing no matter what.

What forum have you been reading? Sure, there's been some good discussion, but there's also been tons of whining going on here since the loss.

Honestly the term "whining" has lost its credibility to me on here. Just like so many other words that get thrown around so loosely even when not warranted. I've seen people get called whiners on here when they clearly weren't whining but just discussing the reasons for the loss. On this forum whining means saying anything negative about anyone on the team. If anything I'm a little surprised by the lack of real "whining" as I think most of us are taking this loss better than expected.

I don't remember anyone on NFLN making headline news by calling Seahawks fans whiners last year for complaining about throwing the ball vs running it at thew 1 yard line or asking to fire Bevell

I agree with LT about this caller, but I think it's ******** to play audio from 1 whiny fan and then say "Patriots fans...." as if that 1 caller represents the entire fan base

Seriously, going after Brady and Belichick has created a sour taste in my mouth and has really ruined my enjoyment of the sport, but if their next move is to alienate our fan base and create even more animosity towards us by other fan bases I'm going to pull the plug on football as my hobby

Ignore the noise, the team does! o_O

Just going by the thread title, I was expecting him to have something negative to say about the team, instead of pointing out fans whining about Belichick. I can't really disagree with him on that point. He also ended his rant by saying he would have loved to play for Belichick. I was pleasantly surprised by what he had to say.

Still, because it's Tomlinson talking about a playoff game, I am obligated to post this:

Now that's rich, now he says he would like to play for that "classless coach" as he so called him, after that playoff game 9 years ago? Amazing, how some of these "has beens", especially "Lords Of NO Rings" like him, say after the fact, that they would like to have played for BB.

I agree that too many people throw around the word whining far too often. It is a word I rarely use. I agree that there has been some good talk and valid criticism after the loss. I was critical too. That said, there was a ton of whining here after the loss, even if you are unable to see it.

He's an idiot and what he says has no bearing on my life. However, as other posters have said, the topic is a good one.

My response to a Ravens fan in my wife's office who was giving me sh*t the other day:

"Yeah, it was a tough loss. And we Pats fans are conditioned to success, so in that sense it is even harder. We won our division as usual, went 12-4, and got to our 5th straight AFC Championship game, and to us it is a lost season, a disappointment. After this 15 year run we've been on, that's a tough position to be in. Of course, every other fan of every other team would trade places with us in a heartbeat. Every other one. Including you."

He's on SportsHub now ... said he and Belichick spoke after ... at the Pro Bowl and apologized and Belichick said he did not expect the Patriots players to act that way.

I'm honored to be instructed on how to act by such a classy guy. You know he's a classy guy because he's the first to tell you how classy of a guy he is. And as one of the biggest whiners in recent NFL history and the ringleader of one of the whiniest teams I've ever seen, you'd better believe he's speaking in his area of expertise.
