Ross there are women and children in this forum, watch your mouth. I cannot believe you typed out that word here on patsfans.
I'm terribly sorry.... I am truly ashamed for harming the integrity of this board....

Then again, I'm not aware of any children on this forum, and the couple ladies I'm aware of aren't too easily offended :)

Ahem, you know me, I'm but 7 years young.

And Ashley would most certainly blush to see your foul mouth polluting ahhhh whatever I'm full of **** say what you feel!

Once you get outside the 1st round, getting an OT is hit or miss. And with the Patriots not having a 1st round pick, the chances of getting someone like Vollmer late in the 2nd round again is probably slim.
It's a deep draft for o-line man this year, may find a gem or two.

I think I've used more offensive language with Ashley myself!

I'm sure not going to defend the OL coaching, but for the most part this season they seemed to protect Brady ok - especially when there was a good RB/short game that eased up some of the pressure

Of course Edelman and Gronk help too - so it was a suprise to see Brady have to hold the ball long enough where he was taking so many hits

But I can't help but think we're very ripe for an upgrade at OL, as protecting Brady is clearly always the key to victory.

I have to think that a guy like Russel Okung, coming off an injury and potentially willing to take a "show me" contract to earn one more big payday the year after could be someone that interests Belichick

I never expect him to spend a ton of money in FA, as I expect he's more prone to re-sign his own guys worth keeping - but bargains with low risk and high reward are always worth looking at

Some were quick to make it appear as a firing ...
Could just be that his contract was up and Belichick let him go early giving Goog max time to find a new gig.

Euphemistic way of firing someone.
BB: "hey googe, your contract is up, I think it will be a good idea and great for both of us if we go in different direction. I really respect what you do, but I think it is best."
Googe: "Oh, I don't think it is a good idea."
BB: "Oh, I meant that you are not going to work here again. so I insist you find another job"
Googe: "Are you firing me?"
BB: " No, we are just not renewing your contract"

We'll have to disagree on this one. Brady took far, far too many hits this year. The line got worse as the year went on. I know injuries played a big art, but at the end of the year the line looked confused multiple times in a games. Guys looked confused about who to block and it was not just the rookies. The line looked ok only as long as Brady got rid of the ball faster than any other QB in the league. I'm surprised that Brady got through the year upright. And that won't last without a vastly improved line.

Really, as Brady hits an age where QBs rarely are pro bowl caliber, the o-line should be a strength. There's no way that Brady can remain healthy and take as many hits as he does. No matter how much avocado ice cream he eats.

Richards was out there on special teams and subbing in behind Harmon and Chung.. Did he make some rookie mistakes? Sure. He's a rookie. But, overall, he played better than most people expected.

Be honest. Are you one of the people who have been complaining about Logan Ryan and Duron Harmon as well??
i never complained about Duron Harmon, i complained about Ryan, fact in SBand same other games he sucked, but this year he studied the game and if pats not face mobile Qb with broken plays to WR, he is top Cb. HE studies top WR and he know what routes they ll ran like he did to Deandre Hopkins...

The fact is i think that Richards was to high, he could be easiy picked in round 5, so the BB and companz should not sign undrafted Olinemans. They could use some other big fellas.

Googe: "Can you elaborate?
BB:"No."
Googe:"Why not?"
BB:"Because I already covered that. Any football questions? *snort* No? Alright *scoots by Googe out of the office*

Phillip Rivers not pleased...

His reaction?
