Patriots let go of Harold Nash (Strength & Conditioning Coach)

Why not? Works for TB. There were waaaaay to many injuries. Solders injury was disturbing. Many others were as well and you need to make a change. I've never seen a team with so many injuries.

Both this year and 2013. 2014 was a complete anomaly.

Should we surprised that the team felt that they need a new strength and conditioning coach? Didn't we also get a new doctor this years after years of perceived incompetence, especially with regard to mental issues.

I guess I am ok with this but just checking werent him and Googs both coaches last year when we won the SB?

Surprised by this one.. can you hold a coach accountable for ACL/MCL injuries and broken bones???
Broken bones no, connective tissue injuries possibly.

How about Chad O'Shea for his apparent inability to consistently develop receivers? He's coached the WRs since 2009...who have the Pats developed in that time? Is Edelman the only one? (genuinely can't think of anyone else from memory)

Thanks couldn't put my finger on the name but you have to think we are at the bottom of the League in that area.

I think the guys being let go don't get the 'attention to detail' thing

at one point, I noticed Owen Daniels step off the field..........not even breathing hard, but next thing you know, he's got the oxygen mask to his face.....later, you see gronk gasping for air and then taking the mask while they were working his leg after awhile....they need to be sucking that oxygen over the entire game......

hell, I would have an extra pint or 2 of blood for every player so that 3 days before a game at altitude, pack it in....blood packing I believe the term is

There should be no franchise in Denver. No one should be forced to play in a place like that.

I never liked Nash

I always said he was the Marc Trestman of strength and conditioning coaches

Me too , I have been saying that Harold Nash is the Marc Trestman of strength and conditioning coaches for years.

Should pouch the Phoenix Suns whole med staff give em a blank check. What they do is amazing. Supposedly the weather helps but damn...they've revived so many careers.

I would hire any coach on Pitt who handles receivers and one of their talent scouts.
Then dynasty

Blount, Dobson & Easley were all injuries that could have probably been avoided by better conditioning/training programs.

Mayo & Solder both had torn upper body muscle injuries which would be harder to prevent, but maybe still possible.

Add in players didn't look super conditioned and in a few games looked gassed late in the game/before the half.

How in the hell can you even make the assumption that Blount, Dobson and Easley were IRd because of issues with strength/conditioning ? Seriously, we dont even know the exact reason Blount and Easley ended up on IR but in all three cases we have tape that shows that it was not a non contact injury.

How would a better strength/conditioning coach prevent the ankle injury Dobson suffered ?

Seriously, claiming things without any evidence whatsoever is pretty irresponsible.

So it is this time again.. time to circlejerk around Patriots staff members.

Fortunately for Josh Boyer he found Butler otherwise we could have just carried on with the ******** that was going around from 2010 to 2012 here. All those coaches can ultimately only look as good as the material they have to work with. Some people wanted Patricia gone a few seasons ago because of how poor our defense played and now a few defensive drafts later he is beloved.

If anything blame the scouting department that made us draft a few WRs who all couldnt pick up our complicated offensive system.

If the receivers failing was due to a intricate system and demanding QB then I agree I think its more talent- injury related.
If the system is that complicated we should be simplifying it.
If we cant have nice things like Allen Robinsons or Martavius Bryants of the world then the system needs to evolve.
Also how much do you wish we didnt cheap out on Emanuel Sanders damn.

BB is angry. This offseason will be fun.
I think BB is embarrassed by the last 8 games. Agree or disagree with what he did, he did it because he felt his team was incapable in areas, particularly the OL.
He didn't build what he built to put a team on the field that he was afraid to run an NFL offense with.

Who said that is the reason?

Here comes his replacement.........Dr Alex Guerrero!

Given how durable Brady is i think he has something to offer them in terms of core conditioning and pliability, however that would be the extent of it.

I think it's obvious there was a problem, but how can you really give such a description without having personally worked with the guy? It's not like he's out there calling plays for all to see.

Gronk sucking wind in AFC championship.........off with Nash's head

I think Nash's firing is directly related to this season's rash of injuries. BB has had some trouble with the strength and conditioning coach position, letting go of Mike Woicik a few years back. It'll be really interesting to see who the replacement is and what the new coach's philosophy entails.

You have a system that is tailor made for the GOAT QB and has made us historically successful over the last decade. I see no reason to change the system just to be able to handle the Allen Robinsons and Martavius Bryants of the world.

We didnt cheap out on Sanders but set a value on him and first Pittsburgh and then Denver decided they valued him even higher. Thats how we do business for the better and for worse. It is similarly pointless to be sad about missed players in the draft. In hindsight it is obvious..
