NFL conducting comprehensive investigation of Manning

If he is found guilty of taking HGH, his legacy is tainted. This is MUCH MUCH MUCH worse than whatever they think they have on brady with deflategate.

Is Rodney Harrison's legacy tainted?

You guys really think this is his last game? Maybe his last game with Denver, but right now he is tied at 186 wins with Favre and there is no way this regular season stat stealing guru is going to leave the game without taking that record over!

Tying for a record counts as holding it.

Is Rodney Harrison's legacy tainted?

Nope. He owned it. It's HGH. Big deal. What is the big deal is the media coverage and the actual shipments of HGH to his home.

Is Rodney Harrison's legacy tainted?

I mean what's Rodney's legacy to non-Pats fans?? Hard hitting, dirty player. Him taking HGH fits in line with what people thought of him as a player.

Manning on the other hand

If TB gets 4 game suspension for 'more probable than not of being generally aware', I want this ****ing horse-head banned for a year and stripped of his (single) ring.
Can't ban him when he's retired.

Sometimes the lying and cover up are bigger than the crime. If he admitted it, people are more likely to forgive and forget, ala Andy Pettite.

Well according to Greg Aiello, they are participating in the investigation with MLB and the USADA.

So if what this Quinn guy is saying is true then the nfl are just trying to stay in the loop with MLB and the USADA and their investigation. They are not lifting a finger on this. Them communicating with them is just so they are not blindsided and can try to get ahead of it to spin it if the MLB & USADA find anything out that links back to the nfl.

But it is hilarious it took them literally minutes to correct the report yet the Patriots legal counsel pleaded with them to issue a statement on the bogus report from Mortenson. Which fell on deaf ears and not only that by Patriots had to sign a non-disclosure agreement just to get the actual PSI numbers.

The NYNFL is reactive to the public reaction, if there was a hue and cry they would look into it, since no one cares they don't. Not the best way to run a company.

One thing that might push the NFL to do a real investigation is that MLB and the Feds are doing their own investigation. MLB isn't going to take the hit without throwing the NFL under the bus too. If the MLB/Feds investigation comes up with something and the NFL says their investigation found nothing, the NFL looks like they were covering it up.

It doesn't matter if Manning is going to retire, he was still with the Colts when he took HGH. So Coach Caldwell and everyone associated with them (Coach Dungy too, even though he had left by then ) , Isray et all should all be suspended and Colts should lose a pick for being generally aware that it was more probably than not that Manning took HGH. !

Marry me....

Only positive info will be released. If Peyton hands over his cell phone it will be immediately leaked with annoying headlines. That's all we'll hear about....

They'll probably *produce* a prescription for the wife and every thing will be just peachy.

Is Rodney Harrison's legacy tainted?

It's just different when it's a record setting QB as opposed to a safety (no matter how good the S is)

It's one of the most important, toughest positions to play in all of sports

So the bottom line is, the MLB actually has integrity, the NFL does not, and since this situation is linked, the MLB is forcing the NFL to actually do it's job, so that Roger and the gang don't have yet another egg laid on their faces, if the smoke clears and there's actual fire...

Thank god for the MLB and actual integrity.

You know he is going to end up retiring and missing out on any punishment they might give him.

Thought the guy went to jail, did he not?

And I get what you're saying, but when it comes to players pushing the envelope in regards to PEDs, it's not really up for debate, the MLB seeks and destroys unlike any other sports organization, almost to a fault at times.
