Be Honest, How Many Of You Wanted To Kick A Field Goal Instead Of Going For It?

  • I wanted to kick the field goal. Take the points and trust my defense to get a stop.

  • I didn't wanna take the field goal. I felt like we needed a TD right there if we were gonna win

I wanted to take the field goal, personally. This isn't hindsight. I felt that way before we went for it and failed. I'm curious about what your thoughts were during those drives.

To be honest I was content going for it. In hindsight the better choice is to kick the FG, but in the heat of the moment I wanted them to attack Denver's defense ferociously!

It was two 4th downs they didn't get it, had BB choose to kick we would not even need the TD in the last drive, only another FG, 21x20.

Too many time on the clock, I'm surprised BB took that risk against that defense and with our offense on life support.

I said during the game thread that we would be in good shape even if we got 3 that series because the Defense was playing well and I knew we had a good chance to get the ball back without the Broncos scoring. I was really surprised that they went for it, but figured they knew something I didn't.

It was a frustrating day on Offense and that was the deepest we had gotten without benefit of the turnover. I was ALL for going for every time we did. But that is my a couch bound risk taker. ( I wanted to go for it on 4th and 2 long ago also.)

I wanted them to go for the FG. There was still a lot of time left. It was too soon to get desperate. Granted we would never know how the game would have changed if we had settled for the three at that time.

I said it before it happened. Kicked the field goal. It is on the game thread. Not he first time, the second time.

There offence was done for the day IMO and our defence was flying. Brady was struggling for Oxygen late on as you could see him gasping for air. Take the pts. I'm always take the pts guy though, ever since the Colts game where we went for it on something like our own 30!

I'm sure someone has a stat whereby if they took the pts in the last 5 mins they would have won stat

Really what I wanted was for us to kick a field goal unless we were a yard or so from a first. And when we were faced with 4th and 1, I was honestly very torn on what I wanted.

I said it at the time.

My TV is still mad at me for screaming at him about it. I was very regretful about the way I treated him. Even more regretful that they didn't kick it....

I wanted the first down. Can totally understand why others wanted the field goal.

The only thing I would require in order for me to want to go for it is one of two things. One, alot less time on the clock, or two, our defense showing an inability to stop denver. Neither of these two were the case, so I wanted the points.

On any given play, Tom Brady is your best weapon. You put him in a position to put a dagger in the opponent.

I understand he wasn't himself, because he was getting pummeled out there. But who do you trust more?

I didn't care either way...........my blind trust in BB has made me that way

I can't wait for the combine to watch BB sleep...........I absolutely believe that osmosis is the way to analyze players.......unless BB changes his mind

To me it seemed like you take the points with 6 minutes to go. Manning wasn't doing much, our defense was actually playing quite well.
