Patriots fans class action lawsuit against the NFL

Is there any lawyers in here that could help if we can find a way to sue Goodell and the NFL to get our draft picks back? I know it's a long shot, but I am curious if we have a case since the NFL made a false report, denies the ideal gas law, and that amicus curiae brief that was entered into Brady's court case.

For us fans, who would be willing to join if we do this? I am tired of Goodell acting like a dictator and taking our picks for no reason!

+1 :D

I'm a lawyer and I hate to burst your bubble, but you have no case. Draft picks are part of the team's contract with the NFL, as is whatever agreement is binding on the teams that allows the commissioner to take away said draft picks, and apparently as I have read elsewhere, where Robert Kraft gave up his rights to sue the NFL. You are not a party to the contract nor an intended beneficiary so a judge would not let you sue for breach.

I'm sure that this is the case.

The only recourse we have is to not watch the games, not buy products from NFL sponsors and, even then, these SOB's can still get their hands on our money by coercing taxpayer money from local governments to finance stadiums.

Sucks doesn't it?

what would brian boitano do?

Good luck. You'd basically be suing Kraft. He is the NFL, a 32nd party of it. He capitulated to his cronies to show his solidarity, and we will never see them back. Kraft gave up the picks and will expect BB and the players to make up for it. The NFL (owners) are the problem, and probably the reason for their eventual demise

its really stupid to me.

And you guys will have like the 30th pick in the 2nd , so basically picking early 3rd.
Perhaps we could see about doing some trade business with the SL Rams...oops, that's not happening...;)

Tell us what options we have? As a fan, I am sick and tired of the leagu f'n with our team. SICK OF IT!!!

Options:
1- Not watch football or buy products from NFL sponsors;
2- write your congress-critter.

Neither option is particularly effective.

Your options are as follows: 1) stop watching the NFL because you are sick of their shenanigans or 2) Keep watching but hope TFB goes on an all new FU tour in 2016-17.

Seriously, that's it...

The only one I have ever believed would matter is boycotting the merchandise as they share the revenues, but the likelihood of that message getting to enough people to make an impact and having them follow through is zero. I don't wear any NFL sponsored gear anymore and will never buy any again and that's all I can do about. I also boycott ESPN and that's actually working as they have been calling repeatedly trying to get me to come back but I'm steadfast and no amount of money they offer will change that.

Can we have a small fleet of drones fly over RG house with Patriot banners...dropping dog pooop on him....every weekend :p

Why the sarcasm? Isn't this America? We sue for hot coffee for Christsakes. We sue for everything. Let's sue o_O
The hot coffee lawsuit was pretty legitimate fwiw. A lot of folks like to use that as the butt of their lawsuit jokes and they're kind of off base with it.

Go for it OP. I think it has a great shot at working.

Has anyone started drafting this yet? Time's a-wasting.

I'd sign it, digitally...

I don't like the chances of success enough to get out of my chair to sign it really.
BTW, don't ask me for a donation. :)

I'm an attorney in MA and huge Pats fan and was considering suing for our draft choices. Standing is a long shot but it's not frivolous and it is a commendable endeavor so let's try. Contact me.

hire some thug to dress up as a Jet fan and have him cap Crudell's knees...kill two birds with one stone.
