If Panthers had gone 16-0, would you be pulling for denver?

Carolina going 19-0 wouldn't bother me.

Having Manning win and people saying he's back in Brady's league would bother me.

As much as I would be jealous with the Panthers going 19-0, when the Pats couldn't pull it off. There is just no way I could root for Manning..I just couldn't.

Asteroid is also a good option.

Of course not! In fact, I'd be rooting even harder for Carolina. The 2007 Patriots made their own bed; has nothing to do with the 2015 Carolina Panthers. I'd like to see almost any team knock the 1972 Dolphins into irrelevance. Never before have I seen such low class, insecurity, and pettiness than from Don Shula and many of his former players.

After watching what the Pats had to go through to get the verge of going 19--0, I think I would, reluctantly, be pulling for the Panthers to do what we could not. It would be a monumental accomplishment and, as a sports fan, I'd like to see a team achieve it. Plus, it would be great not to have to put up with listening to the Dolphins crow about it any more. And, I really don't want Peyton get a second ring, which would move him out of the Trent Dilfer class.

That is the ultimate nightmare scenario. I guess I would just hope the stadium exploded before the game ended.

Asteroid is the best option.

It's not out of jealousy I wouldn't want Carolina to go 19-0, but just that I still hold out this overly optimistic, semi-crazy hope that NE can make another run at it in the next couple years. After TB retires there can be an undefeated team and I wouldn't care much.

I guess so if only to shut that annoying and irrelevant 72 LOLphins team up.

Why are some people writing about an asteroid? It is much more likely that the Stanford band would stop the game however this time they will arrive riding a herd of elephants.

It’s very simple:

A 19-0 run although very hard to achieve, CAN be technically repeated by another team. It’s not a question of IF but when. So they may have enjoyed their undefeated season for a while, but eventually another team would come and repeat, at which point it’s not that special anymore.

OTOH, you can’t undo a Manning ring and a Broncos new Lombardi trophy. That is permanent damage. The ensuing EXTRA ball washing Manning would get is just more poison for me.

So with that said, yeah, I’d still pull for Carolina.

I can see why the Dolphins would, they are the only undefeated team ever. Why would NE fans root against the Panthers to go 19-0?

I've decided I'm pulling for Denver regardless......for one reason

1982 NBA Semi-Finals.............Sixers control at the end of game 7.......and the fans start chanting 'Beat LA.......Beat LA.....Beat LA'

cuz I think Manning is close to our GOATs, and screw it....let the guy have another ring

Who cares if Carolina goes 19-0? It would have hurt Denver, Manning, and the '72 Dolphins. That's quite a trifecta. As a bonus, discussion would be deflected away from the 2007 Patriots failure and toward the 2016 Panthers succcess.

Have to cheer for 19-0. Cannot root for the Bronco's. I could possibly root for Manning if he was on another team.

No! I would never root for Denver. I've been watching Denver beat up the Patriots since I started watching football in the 80's. And I think it would be cool to see a team pull off 19-0 and shut up the Dolphins. Just because NE failed to do it doesn't mean I want another team to fail.
Actually, your point about shutting up the Dolphins is a good one.
