Bye Bye Brandon Lafell

No, don't cut Ryan.
Ryan played a good game. Just because he occasionally gets beat, it would be a mistake to send him packing. I think the best move would be to move Ryan to nickel back and sign a #2 behind Butler.

I feel for what he does Roberts can do the same. I really don't rate him. He got a lot of praises this season for what were drops. He is what he is, don't see a true number 2. If the money he wants is reasonable, then I will not bat an eye.
We need cap room for Collins, Butler, High, Hicks, Jones maybe. Extend Sheard!

I agree with your others. You are WAY off target about Ryan, though.

Bye Felicia.

While I do agree that LaFell is a waste of a roster spot, I do have to say that our offense is not built on long, down the field routes. Brady was never a deep passer (except for the Moss phase, which was short lived). Our offense is designed around quick slants, dink and dunks through middle/flat, passing out of the backfield, screen, bubbles, wheel routes…. etc. etc.

At things stand right now, an X-receiver is a ‘nice to have’ upgrade over JoJo, but DEFINITELY not our #1 priority. Our #1 glaring priority is fixing this cardboard O-line. Without getting a LEGIT HARRASING blocking line (ala Carolina, Dallas, etc.), this offense isn’t going anywhere. If Brady doesn’t have time to check his #1 & #2 looks, what good does a #3, 45 yards down the field do?

Yesterdays game shows how much confidence this Coaching Staff have in Brandon LaFail going forward. I thought he was inactive...when I finally saw him I said might as well. They are many Good legit WR's available in FA it's time we pony up the $$$$ for one. I am sure sure many of us wished they up the Ante on Emanuel Sanders a few years Back we would be the SB again...sure glad we won it last year it doesn't sting as much.

hey if josh gordon gets cut, we should bring him in. if he does something stupid, cut him.
The Patriots have already gotten the inside report on Gordon from Mike Lombardi. It was so bad that Lombardi tried to trade him two suspensions ago. Don't get your hopes up. The reverse Sheard effect, if you will.

I believe that JoJo is dealing with a physical issue and that hurt his play.

With that said I don't think they are bringing him back at $3m.

I agree.

Might be a situation where the potential upside is worth the a low-risk investment.

gordon hasn't killed anyone ( that we know of )

bring him in....hope for the best. don't care about PR, we want to win games.

Brady didn't have time to check his one and two all day. Never mind JoJo.

But you don't understand........all Brady needed was a big bodied receiver.....because if he had one yesterday he would have had all day to stand if the pocket and chuck it 50 yards down field.

There has got to be a player out there that is an upgrade over Jo Jo. He was a great contributor in 2014. This year not so much. I believe he is signed till 2017. Could easily see him cut. We needed someone else to step up yesterday and Brandon ended up as the #4 with zero targets. Not acceptable.

They're out there, but they're getting $8+ million a year. People expect the Pats to go get get a 2014 LaFell year for 2014 LaFell money, and that's just not the kind of performance you can expect from a guy in that price range. The more proven options are what I think we can assume is safely outside the Pats' price range at that position.

WHO?

Brandon LaFell...didn't he play for the NEP last year (i.e. the year they won the SB)?

Whatever happened to him?

There is no chance LaFell comes back under his current salary structure unless the team has supreme confidence that he will regain 2014 form.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt as he was so good last year as the 3rd option in this offense and the shoulder and foot surgeries really slowed him down this year as he wasn't able to get himself physically ready for the season.

With that said there was almost something casual- bordering on lackadaisical with him as well this year. Can't put my finger on it.

He looked like a player that mailed it in this year, or just regressed to a poor level of play. Either way, Hasta La Vista, Baby!

We should of kicked the ****ing field goal when had a chance we would of had 15 points then when we scored at the end of the game we would of won ********
shoulda...woulda...coulda...

We "should" have beaten these guys 31--20, given how our D played, but we just weren't good enough on Offense and Special Teams yesterday. I'm disappointed that we lost, but we can't whine about this loss.

When your QB is hit 23 times, when you get picked three times, when you miss an Extra Point in a Championship Game and when your onside kick doesn't go five yards to at least give you a chance at a FG in the closing seconds...well, we really can't complain too much.

No one play and no one decision lost the game...this is a loss that was a "team effort," except for the D.

The frustrating thing is LaFell should have done something yesterday. As our 4th WR and with Edelman, Dola and Gronk out there, he should have been drawing the #3/#4 CB. And he still couldn't get open.
