i don't know. it seems like manning's teammates are picking him up for a final ride into to the sunset....talentwise carolina is better but maybe the stars are lined up for manning this year.

Manning was reason 408 why the Broncos won yesterday. He wasn't very good other than on that opening drive where the Pats played a soft defense to try to get the Broncos' gameplan.

Actually, I disagree with this. I feel as though our spread offense would have been a good match for their defense. Conversely, I think NE does a good job understanding how to match their run fits to negate their rushing offense somewhat. I don't think Denver is a good match for them in this game. NE/Car would have been a better game in my opinion. But, thats why they play the games.

The Brady vs Manning debate was settled by Seattle.

'14 Super Bowl- Denver has an elite offense and is favored vs Seattle. National media is saying Peyton will be GOAT if he wins that game. They get blown out.

'15 Super Bowl- Brady goes off vs that same Seattle defense. Brings home the 4th ring. Debate over, even if Peyton upsets Carolina.

Just what I was about to type.

I think it's fair to give old man Manning credit for yesterday, he's absolute toast but he did just enough to allow the defense to win the game. No turnovers (besides the lateral, which is more Hillman's fault than anything), and threw a few nice TD passes.

That said, this is akin to the 2006 SB run that Manning had, where the defense handed him the Lombardi. Besides the AFCCG against the Pats (legitimately great second half by, to be fair) he was at best average but the defense was phenomenal. Same story here: he's doing 'just enough' to allow his defense to win the game.

Brady has shown, on numerous occasions, that he can make the huge plays when it matters most to win. Game winning drives over and over again, not many of those back-breaking, 2nd half turnovers that Manning's accustomed to. This has not been a 'debate' for a long time, for anyone paying attention. The fact that Denver's defense is ferocious and has given Manning another crack doesn't change that at all.

I have honestly given up caring what other people think. Brady will always be the GOAT in my mind.

The ass kicking Manning*** is going to get from Carolina will however shut them up again.
