Thank you Bill, thank you miami, thank you pittsburg...

I think it's easy now to say that he should have thrown to anybody other than Edelman, but the Broncos definitely deserve some credit for playing it perfectly. Edelman is supposed to legally pick the defender on White, and either because of a great read by the second defender or a preplanned double team, White was covered when he wasn't expected to be. In that moment, the easy read was that he was covered, and it seems that in that instant Brady didn't care to decide whether or not he was covered well.

Would of liked to see a endzone fade to Gronk. Even if it was used as a decoy it would of drawn multiple defenders and possibly opened things up for others.

Hats off to the Broncos defense though. They made things difficult for the Pats and earned their way to the title game. Pats defense was pretty solid as well, especially in that 2nd half. Brady and Gronk almost stole that game.

So proud of this defense and their fight to
keep the game close. Offensive unit was pitiful all around starting with the offensive line. This offense had so many awful 3 and outs.

I laugh at those that thought going to denver would be ok. History doesn't tell u that. That donkeys defense gets pumped up with all that crowd noise. They get a good jump on the ball. Did brady have any hard counts? HFA still matters

For those of you saying that Amendola didn't make the catch where Kubiak challenged, here you go..
At the 2 second mark, he gets control, then his right knee hits the ground while in the grasp of the defender, Webster. The ball doesn't come out until after Webster whips Amendola over. By rule, that's a catch.. What happens AFTER the knee is down doesn't matter.

The Patriots' Offense towards the end of the year were like a jalopy, parts were dropping off of the car and it was being held together with duct tape and bailing wire. The two weeks were clearly not enough to get healthy and their margin of error as a result was down to zero. They then made the mistakes that pushed it over the line.

The game was lost on the OL, specifically on Stork, Kline and Cannon. But the coaches didn't do anything to put them in a position to succeed. No adjusting of the snap count, no "no huddle" offense, no TEs chipping DEs before going out on patterns, no extra blocking when it was clear they were being overwhelmed. I've never seen a DL get such consistent pressure on the QB even when rushing three players. We were out of bullets. Next year our rotation should be Andrews at Center, Stork/Jackson/Mason rotating at guard and Vollmer/Solder outside. We're stuck with Cannon who got extended. Dola, Jules and Gronk were also clearly hurting and limited but they played their hearts out. I don't care to see LaFell in a Patriot uniform again. I guess that makes a Tackle, another Guard, an outside WR, and another TE the major needs for the draft. I think the Defense is mostly set.

Proud of the team and their fighting to the end and almost pulling the rabbit out of the hat. Credit to Denver, they won the battles physically and were deserving winners. Wonder if Bill and the gang are losing their edge a bit, those little things just weren't on our side this time like they usually are and they cost us.

Vollmer got schooled several times. More so than Stork. But, again, they were up against an ALL-PRO in Von Miller and were given no help..

Saying that Andrews should be at center when Stork out-played him there is silly.
Cannon is what he is. A reserve OT who can play either LT or RT but is best in spot duty.

LBer is going to be a bigger issue than OG or WR..

Even Simms made a point of mentioning that Brady said he "trusted all the receivers that were playing". Ergo...Jojo is done in NE. Even when he was out there, he wasn't, y'know? All the deep sidelines were to ****in James White. Some of those used to go to Vereen (though sometimes out of wheel from backfield) but Lafell used to be that target too. This week they didn't even try that ****ty screen pass to him.

LaFell played.. He wasn't targeted because he couldn't break out of coverage, but he played.. He'll be given through training camp to get back to how he did last year. Otherwise, I agree, he'll be gone.

Not much to say. I'm numb with disbelief that they lost to this team.

1. The offensive line was terrible in this game and several others this season. Changes must be made in the offseason starting with the draft.

Yes, lets forget that we were missing Solder and Jackson. Let's forget that Jackson, Mason and Andrews are rookies and lets spend more draft capital on rookies.. Makes a whole lot of sense..

2. Their defense was superior to ours but only because 1. Is not good. The Patriots defense was excellent in the 2nd half. Championship worthy.

3. I screamed at my tv regarding not taking the FG with 5:56 remaining. The way the defense was playing I knew they were getting the ball back 1 or 2 more times. Whatever, if it worked and they got the 1st down and scored they win.

There was no guarantee that they'd get the ball back 1 more time, let alone 2. If the Pats put up the FG, there is no telling what would happen. For all we know, Hillman could have broke out a 60 yard run and ended the game.. They could have gotten several 1st downs. We just don't know..

I don't know about the rest of you, but I felt miserable about this game from start to finish. It was suffocating, and felt like any 5+ yard gain was a huge accomplishment with the way Brady was getting tossed around. I was happy about the Pats being in the AFCCG, but really annoyed that the game was being played in Denver when it was preventable.

This felt like a blown opportunity, with the Broncos offense being such a joke. Their defense really made the difference, aside from the missed extra point. Weird stuff always happens in Mile High. I hate that place more than any other.

Kudos to the Pats for always fighting to the very end. Seems like that's been the case in all their losses this season. I wish Brady got #5 in the house that Montana built. I also wish Brady hasn't lost 3 out of 5 playoff games against Manning. But objectively speaking, this team was beaten up, and lesser teams miss the playoffs in those conditions.

Really don't want to think about next season, or any football, for a while, but had to come in and vent. I know that health permitting, we could've had a different outcome this year, and should prevail next year.

Go Pats and go **** yourself Roger Goodell.

who knows what a catch is? there is must make a football move portion which is vague. and also maintain control while going to the ground which is also vague.

The pats play at Denver again next year, this team is not built to beat them in their house in this current state. Brady completion percentage was in the low 50s in the regular season, today it was in the 40s. Unless the philosophy changes, i'm marking this matchup as a loss next season.

White had SIXTEEN targets & only 5 catches...I think hey to him TOO much... Most targets on the team

Some of those "targets" were throw aways by Brady who put the ball in the dirt to prevent a sack. Brady did this 4 or 5 times.. Brady over-threw White on 3 plays that I can remember where White had to lay out to try and make the catch..

No, there does not have to be a football move. We've seen plenty of times where a receiver makes the catch and is tackled immediately without making a football move. Possession of the ball and his knee down.

That Miami game cost us the whole season. I believe with all my heart we would be Super Bowl bound if we had home field yesterday.

just a frustrating loss. if you told me the broncos only score 20, i would have felt good about the game. did not expect the OL to lay the egg that they did today. got outplayed but still had a chance at the end to tie and maybe steal a W.
hoping they are healthier next year and make another deep playoff run

One thing not really mentioned so far is that I felt that Brady just didn't have the fire today. We've seen him come out and be emotional. Today, he was just somber and I feel it set the tone for the team..

What really hurts though about this loss is that people can say that Manning is 3-2 in the playoffs against Brady.

And even worse, 3-1 in AFCCGs.
