Little far ahead, but my guess is that if Denver wins it all we will face them on opening night next season.

It's amazing how people are still disrespecting the Denver D-line and LBers by putting all the blame on the Pats O-line being "hot garbage". Hello, people. Denver had the best Defense in the league. Not to mention All-Pro Von Miller. They will make most O-lines look like "hot garbage" unless the O-line is given help. Cannon is what he is. A reserve OT who can come in for an injury, but should never be the starter without help.

I am disappointed that BB and McDaniels pulled an Andy Reid and didn't give Vollmer and Cannon almost any help from the TEs. I'd have had Mike Williams out there mirroring Von Miller every down just to ensure he was doubled. That would almost ensure Brady would have the time needed to hit Edelman, Gronk, Amendola or Martin. That didn't happen and we saw the results.

I have no issue with the pats not going for the FGs twice. Manning could have easily run the clock out on them either time. As it happened, our D stepped up greatly.

Yes, I agree. Also, here is the thing: they had ONE yard to go with the first one. If they take a FG, they stull need a TD, and what makes one think they can get a game winning TD drive if they can't get one yard when they need it? Also, if they score a TD and miss the 2 point conversion, they can still get the ball back and win with the FG. So, by going for it and missing, they weren't in that much worse situation than taking a FG--either way, they still would have needed a TD. But just think if they take a FG and then at the end of the game are in FG range but not near a TD--I guarantee you most people would say they should have gone for that ONE yard when they had a chance.

Not much to say. I'm numb with disbelief that they lost to this team.

1. The offensive line was terrible in this game and several others this season. Changes must be made in the offseason starting with the draft.

2. Their defense was superior to ours but only because 1. Is not good. The Patriots defense was excellent in the 2nd half. Championship worthy.

3. I screamed at my tv regarding not taking the FG with 5:56 remaining. The way the defense was playing I knew they were getting the ball back 1 or 2 more times. Whatever, if it worked and they got the 1st down and scored they win.

4. I'm proud of the way the team went down fighting, scoring a td with almost no time and almost forcing it. I'm proud of the accomplishments of the New England Patriots. 4 SuperBowls, 7 appearances, All those AFC championships won and participated in.

5. It sucks tonight and will sting for a bit but screw it. Bunch of millionaires doing something they love to do. They will be moving on to next season and so will we.

Good...get that L out of the way eaerly...

Lack of personnel at certain positions caught up with us. We are deficient at running back. Injuries will happen at RB every year and we do not have quality depth. There is a need to run the ball occasionally or else you turn into the Chargers. It would be nice to have a feature back. Blount was as close to it as we can get. Lewis was fine as 3rd down back but was asked to do everything and injuries happen. White is a step down from Lewis / Woodhead and Vereen, (who was really developing as a good back in our system, too bad the money did not work out).

Would like to explore some of these back - no idea on contract etc. I think any of these would be helpful.

Carey, Ka'Deem
Foster, Arian
Mason, Tre
Mathews, Ryan
Miller, Lamar
Robinson, Denard
Sims, Charles
Powell, Bilal 3rd ++
Vereen, Shane 3rd ++
Woodhead, Danny 3rd +
Barner, Kenjon 3rd down

Need better 2nd round picks – no DB’s on 2nd round TAVON ETC. Would love to see David Johnson in FedEx uni.

No speed at WR -

Defense has talent – Collins pass rushing terror, please let him get after the QB more often. He is a great athlete but I think his coverage is not good enough to leave him one on one.

Offensive line - Can't judge because of injuries. Guards playing Tackle / Centers playing all over.

I can't believe I'm saying this - except for the secondary the defensive personnel looks good.

Hightower and Collins are the real deal.

With what money do you plan on paying these guys? Miller and Foster are going to demand big money.
As far as I know, Ryan Mathews isn't a FA. Neither is Ka'Deem Carey, Tre Mason or Denard Robinson.

Why do the Pats need Vereen, Woodhead, Barner, or Powell? They already have White and Lewis. Charles Sims is also a 3rd down back..

I would just like to add that, Tom Brady really sucked today. Seriously, he stunk!!! (By tb standards of course)
He wasn't great, but damn he couldn't do anything behind that line. Broncos played great coverage, and Brady was running for his life the entire game.

We have the best coaching staff in the league but they have a tendency to overthink themselves. Today was one of those days.

As I said "weird things happen in Denver"....and we have the best kicker in the game missing a ****ing pat....I was astounded at how many people in here thought this'd be a walk in the park...
This game should've been in frosty foxboro....if that's the case miller can't get off as fast as he did tonight...so pissed at BB for his "management" of the last 1/4 of the sseSon... He always says you gotta play your best football aft thanksgiving & this team clearly did not...they were one of the worst teams in the league after Thanksgiving... After the 10-0 start this team finished 3-5 including playoffs...this team should be playing in the ****ing super bowl but bb has to try to be the smartest guy in the room with his managing the schedule bulkschiit and his taking the ball for the first time all year to not kicking a fg...so aggravating

Did anyone else think butler looked a little lost today?

The defense played well, but it wasn't exactly a stout offense they were facing. D

sucked for the most part until the late in the 4th but the entire offense sucked. except for gronkowski, he was incredible.

saw ppl mentioning brady's email saying manning only had a year left now tom loses to the guy again in the title game. sickening..........

The bad news is, the NEP will be without
Hate to say it, but that may go down as the last one for Brady/Belichick. So we have to be thankful for 2014. I don't know, kinda crushed right now so maybe not thinking right. I always say I rather lose the AFCCG instead of the SB, but this one really stings. This season kinda reminds me of 2002 (though we didn't make the playoffs), defending SB champs, season started out like gangbusters, crushing everyone, then the injuries hit.

I don't know, the way Carolina is playing, I think they would've crushed the Pats anyway. They will crush the Broncos, regardless of the Broncos defense.

I don't like to use injuries as an excuse, but we only had 2 of our starting Olinemen from last year's SB starting today, plus a lot of walking wounded. I really felt the first half of the season healthy Pats could've beaten anyone, including the Panthers. Most injured team in the league, it's a miracle they were 3 points away from going to back to back SBs. Bad coaching today didn't help either.

Man, I feel it was bad karma watching all of those Videos of Seattle fans being crushed on the Butler INT, maybe the football gods are paying me back.

The NEP have been mostly horrible for the last few months. The big chatter before last week's game was whether they might snap out of it. Today, they looked like that same team...mostly horrible. And they simply compounded their problems this year by falling apart at the end; losing home-field advantage, which is a big deal, particularly when DEN is the road team. :(

Personally, I am thankful that the junior varsity O-Line did not get TB killed this year. And it's a credit to TB for working through it all and keeping off the IR.

Had the NEP not gone 10-0 to start the season, they may not have made the play-offs! Just look at how many games they lost down the stretch (i.e. more than they won)...and the way they lost.

I'm having a hard time dealing with the big let-down this year because of the way they played, particularly after jetting out front and being deemed almost unbeatable. Really? Is this really the same team we started with?

Brady had 310 yards, you should be able to win a game with that. Regardless it was a good seasonn, I honestly don't think either AFC was going to beat Carolina....if they win.

I live in Denver and folks are already asking me if I'll root for the Boncos...not a f'in chance in hell, I hope they get destroyed.

I think the Pats could be a really dominate team next year without out all the injuries.

Anyway on to next year, time to get ready for the end of winter and get back out on the dirt bike.

He had happy feet and felt ghost pressure. All of course making your point. But, I just thought he looked real poor. He held it allot. Gotta see the all 22, to know if it was all covered. But man he just looked crappy all day. JMD didn't do him any favors. But there were a few times where they just needed to manufacture some yards. JMD just kept going back to the well. He never attacked the fuel horizontally. But, not a great performance by Brady.

Yeah he definitely sucked. Alot of that had to do with the oline but he surely deserves some blame too. Quite honestly I think just about everyone sucked except the defense and gronk.

I will co sign on that.... Even Allen kinda stunk....

I don't know if this is correct at all, but my gut reaction:

White vs. Dion was the difference between SB champs and not :(
Completely agree. Don't understand how this has so many disagree's. Everyone must have short memories from last years Super Bowl where Vereen caught something crazy like eleven balls to keep the chains moving against another defense with a fierce pass rush. Lewis was much more elusive than White was this year.

The o-line was effen awful and which in turn made brady awful. I also didn't understand why they kept using james white as a WR either.

I am still disapointed in BB and how he chose to go for the TD instead of taking the 3 points. BB has made a few questionable decesions this year.

What really gets me is that this team actually played better in November with all of thier guys injured.

I haven't seen him hit that much in a playoff game since the infamous 42 game. He got leveled all game long.
