Great season with all the injuries to get this far. It was a valiant effort by the team today except for two main culprits - the offensive line and the coaching.

The offensive line has already lost the Pats two super bowls and today denied them a trip to another one.

The decision not to kick at least one of the FGs today and the decision to lie down and lose the last two weeks on purpose are why I am calling out the coaching today.

Overall it was a great season - the first 7 or 8 weeks before the injuries hit were a thing of beauty. Hopefully the pats can find a decent second round pick and get back some healthy players like Lewis and Solder.

I like the Pats chances for a shot at SB 51.

Damn good season, came up short, and for all of those NEGATIVE NANCY'S, bye, bye, many of you don't realize how good we have it as Pats fans...

Kinda wonder if Patriots decided to kick the 2 FGs that the last drive of the Patriots would be a FG to tie.

I guess the PAT now haunts the patriots..

I had never heard Belichick say that about the P.A.T.

He explained his thinking while touching on his disappointment with the NFL's new kickoff rules.

"Philosophically, plays that are non-plays shouldn’t be in the game. I don't think it is good for the game. Extra points, when the odds are 99 percent range in extra points it is not a play. Lets move the ball back to the 15-20 yard line and not make it a tap in. Let them kick it. Same thing with the kickoff return, if you’re just going to put the ball on the 20, put the ball on the 20," Belichick told hosts Glenn Ordway, Michael Holley and Tedy Bruschi on "The Big Show."

Thank you to the New England Patriots! Expectations are high every year and you did not disappoint all the way to the last play of the season. I feel fortunate to root for this organization and look forward to seeing you guys again in September!

The O Line needs a total revamp. Another year of Brady wasted. That said if we had taken care of business over the last month of the season it would've been a different story.

The main reason they could not take care of business was was the lack of even decent O-Line play.

so many words, theories etc. in last weeks, months
and all that was needed were two letters: OL

i too have a feeling this question was met with some arrogance by the staff
the whole off&pre season

its not just about names, its about philosophy as well
you need complete athletes not just meat upfront in todays NFL

i do thank everyone on the team for another exciting season
and hope they give brady another chance
he will be a whole year older next game - so be nice and give him some protection

Its a shame how our season ended, with all the injuries this season I am surprised how far we have come.

Thank you Brady.

P.S: This offseason we have to improve our O-Line depth.
Thanks for coughing up the season I would say

lol...yeah, if you think losing to the garbage Eagles, ref called game in Denver, and then losing to the f'in Dolphins to lose HFA is considered a "great season" then that is mediocrity. What a PATHETIC game.

Horrible coaching. Tom Brady was terrible. The O-Line was trash. Eliminated by the Broncos AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Tom Brady was not terrible, he was okay today, the O-Line let him down. Thats the reason why we lost today.

With that said, I've seen some positives in this game, White is gonna be a much better player next year, Tom will get Solder back, We will draft a better o-line. Martin will be a better player next year, Lewis will come back 100%, Blount should comeback healthy again. We will probably get a good RB.
I am staying positive, its not the end of the world. Hopefully we keep Matt Patricia, he has done a good job with that D-Line and I can see these guys only improving next year.

It was.

Man it's sooooo hard to repeat. Nice knowing we were the last to do it.

Amazing game. No quit in this team. Thank you for another fantastic campaign. Get healthy and we will see you in a few months!

I'll always remember this season for the beasts they were pre-November. Before key players started falling - there was not another team that could stop NE.

But, sadly, the second half of the season was problematic. And even though the Chiefs game was uplifting - it was the inconsistent game, not the others.... The end of the season was consistently troublesome.

But the Dion Lewis Patriots... I loved that team. And I wish that team could have sustained. Cause they'd be playing in SF.

Just simply thanks for a great season. Overcoming the distractions and the adversity of injuries, it is remarkable that the Patriots have been to 5 consecutive AFC Championship games. What coulda or shoulda been is immaterial. I'll calm down and write later about what this team needs to do in the offseason.

It's clear that losing Solder hurt the most this year, I'd take having him back over Dion.
Not like Solder has never **** the bed in a big game before.

We're going to be a better team next year. Disappointing way to end the season without a chance to take it to OT because of the missed XP and failure to execute on the 2pt conversion.

But we're not going to be losing any major components, we'll get Dion and Solder back and I think it's hard to imagine a year where we take more tough injuries down the stretch than this one.

I'm of the opinion that the coaching decision to half-ass the Dolphins game was a big mistake. If we were going to rest people we should rest them. If we're going to try to secure HFA we should go all out. Playing halfway accomplished neither and leaves me with this frustrated 'if only we played this game at home' feeling.

Also got to put some blame on the coaches for not addressing the Von Miller situation prior to sack eleventy billion.

Still, proud of our team and as long as the Broncos don't win the SB I'll be happy with this season.

I know it has been said many times, but, 15 yrs. w/13 Division Titles, 10 AFCC appearances, 6 AFC Championships, and 4 SB Championships. I'll take it and I'm thankful for it. Thank you Patriots.

Love the fight in this team. Unfortunately they came up short today. It puts last year in perspective, what a magical year in 2014.

Devestated, disappointed, angry, sad sums up my feeling right now.

But, I'm proud of this team. Brady/Gronk showed incredible toughness, the defense is only going to get better. Go Pats, F Goodell.
