Not kicking a FG on the first of the 3 trips into the redzone was moronic. Hindsight is 20/20, but they're going in for the win on the last 2 drives, as opposed to praying for a 2 pointer to force OT. It was a bad decision on BB's part.

This game reminded me of the first SB against the Giants. I felt like that game was given away with poor coaching, bad decision making, and terrible line play. This game was like that in a lot of ways. Now I have to listen to Manning love for 2 weeks.

I'm so disappointed. I said before the playoffs started if we lose in denver its on belichick. For whatever reason so many people were ready to completely dismiss our history in denver. Every single loss there was countered by some excuse... And yet again, we lose in denver and get our throats kicked in on offense. Belichick must have agreed with some of the fans considering he treated HFA like it was no big deal. Well sorry coach, it was a big deal. And you lost the AFCC because of it. This season didn't need to end this way and IMO it wouldn't have, with a little better coaching.

Bad coaching strangely reappeared today. With 6 minutes left you kick the FG to get to 20-15 definitely, absolutely.. All you lose is 10 yards of field position by kicking, (assuming you fail to convert the 4th and 1) and you would not need to go for 2 heck you would have won

Brady hit 23 times.

Can we cut Dobson and LaFell and get a big body WR?

Now, JE is limping badly in the locker room according to Jeff Howe.

His knee was clearly down
I don't think that was a catch I really can't complain about that. He didn't maintain control. There were a lot of questionable calls that was not one of them in my mind. DA is hurting I would be surprised to see him have knee surgery in the next few weeks. He has not been right since the Eagles game.

This is 100% on BB. They chose to play against Miami like a preseason game then they left 3 points on the field and lost by 2.

Pats kick that field goal they are going to the Superbowl.

The next opposing player who calls Tom Brady a wimp should be shot at sunrise.
The first player to be released should be Cannon. I am still waiting for him to block someone.

Without that backwards pass, the Pats wouldn't have been in the game. Denver dominated the Pats in all but the score.

The OL wasn't that bad in the first quarter, but Brady was bad for the whole first half. The OL was ****e for the last 3 quarters and Kline should be cut before tomorrow.

That missed XP was HUGE!

Coaching could have been better.

The defensive plan the start the game was garbage. The cushions were far too big and they played zone far too often. It was much better after the first few possessions.

Pats blocking on punt returns is absolute garbage. When the return blocking is that bad, you gotta start trying to block the punt instead.

How hurt is Dola? He can't get separation like he used to.

Lacking a 1st rounder this year is going to make rebuilding the OL much more difficult.

Game was there to be taken, just couldn't do it.

Minus injuries in-season this game is in Foxboro and maybe happens in reverse. O communication is easier for Pats, harder early for Manning, etc. Maybe is even against KC instead. If wishes were horses...

Denver D earned whatever stripes they laid claim to. Totally overwhelmed Pats OL all game. Injuries or not, they couldn't even get hands on Miller on some of those rushes. That it was so close is a testament to how good our D is/could be...if one were looking for a silver lining.

Hope they lose by 40 again in SB.

I don't get how the XP is what did them in. The coaching staff should've learned from the first 4th down attempt fail and kicked the 3 before the 2nd fail.

Based on the wretched OL, what kind of crack were they smoking when they thought they could convert on 4th and 6? They put their faith in the wrong unit when they should've trusted the defense. That defense balled-out and I feel awful for them.

I understand going for it the first time, but the second time was inexcusable. I know the coaching staff is a sacred cow on these boards but sometimes they screw the pooch just like everyone else.

Was LaFail even in the game today? What a disaster of a season he had.

From the first drive the team looked horrible, un prepared, un focused and the coaches didn't do them any favors by the horrible decisions and play calling !

I never once felt good about having to get a 2 pt conversion either. The first time we were down there not kicking the field goal IMO was the wrong move. There was plenty of time left and its like not denvers offense was lighting it up and moving it down the field with ease. Not deferring to start the game, belichick outhinking himself. We always defer. Don't wait until the biggest game of the year to start doing things differently. I'm just overall very disappointed in belichick right now.

they run for 99 yards and Manning throws for only 176 yards..and we lose.
Kick the FG and we win....but I do see why Bill went for it at the time. Denver's defense was dominating, yet that 1 decision played differently and Pats win...such a frustrating game, our D played well, except for those 2 Manning TD's..but they were the difference.

6 minutes left you take the field goal. belichick cost us all season with his horrible decisions..
the genius continued to outsmart himself....

brutal loss. gonna avoid sports media for at least a month. dont care who wins the SB.

our defense deserved better today. offense came up so small ( EXCEPT FOR GRONK )

Pats played as they did against the Jets and Miami.
