10:20 central time, so it's almost noon east coast. Ya, I'm in, sounds good to me. Cheers!

Bunch the WR's and show it to me.

Show me lots of it. We can score 50 on these guys if we just did that alone.

Broncos bracing for Tom Brady and Patriots' pass-first assault

"They can throw it every down and win," Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said. "Nobody else can do that. No one in football -- I think you look at the record -- no one in football can throw it over 50 times and win except Tom Brady, and it’s with or without all his guys. Now they’ve got all their guys. It’s a big challenge."
The Broncos did hold the Patriots to just 2-of-13 in third-down conversions as New England had five drives in that game that were three-and-out. The Patriots scored two of their touchdowns on drives that started in Denver territory -- at the Broncos’ 47-yard line in the first quarter and the Broncos’ 15-yard line in the second quarter.

"They did have to punt 10 times," Phillips said. "... It’s going to be a big challenge for us to play that kind of game again."

It means the Broncos likely will spend plenty of time with six defensive backs in the formation. And in that look, expect Brady to isolate the Broncos’ linebackers and safeties in coverage.

For much of the week, the Broncos pointed to Edelman’s return as the biggest adjustment they'd have to make from the Nov. 29 game. The Patriots are 10-0 this season in games Edelman plays, including last Saturday’s win over the Chiefs, and 3-4 in games he did not play.

interested to see what defense denver played in the nov matchup without edelman

If Patriots want different result vs. Broncos, this is what has to change

Improvement with third-down offense: The Patriots finished 2-of-13 on third down and 0-for-1 on fourth down. That helps explain why the Broncos held a time-of-possession edge of 36:31 to 25:57. Of the Patriots' third-down snaps, almost half were low-percentage situations, with 10, 9, 10, 20, 15 and 10 yards needed to gain the first down. So better play on early downs ties into this as well.
Pats faced this last week also vs the chiefs on esp on the first drive 3rd and 13, 3rd and 11. No way they can convert them like they did here on the road. First down is critical.

Fake punt? God I hope not.

Please no.

Last time we did that in a playoff game Patrick Chung got his head taken off and we got whalopped by the Jets at home....ugh.

Honestly, I think you only revert to the trick plays if you're down by a score and need to gain back the momentum.

But the Patriots should be able to play this game straight and win decisively.

No reason to believe anything which is being put out there.
Harris is a snake. A week ago there was "no way" he would be able to play. Then a few days ago, he was saying he "feels lightyears better." Now he can't even brush his teeth?

Maybe Gronk can get low enough and go shoulder to shoulder with Harris. Maybe we'll get a better feel for where he is on the injury situation :D.

Here's how a Bronco fan I know sees it:

I know everyone thinks the pats are gonna come here in whoop our asses, but I don't. I think it's probably a 23-20 type of game either way, but I'm picking Denver. People are calling it Brady vs Manning, but it's really Brady Vs. Denver defense and Manning Vs Father time. If Manning can simply be a game manager, throw for 225 and a TD an NOT turn the ball over, we win this one. New England is one dimensional. They don't run the ball and only ran it for 36 yards IIRC last time we played. If the defense can get to Brady, this one is over.

just read on the broncos forum that Brock Osweiller has a torn MCL. If Manning gets hurt they have to go to Trevor Semian.

Here's how a Bronco fan I know sees it:
So he's expecting their run game & kicking game to amass the other 16 points I guess? The Pats WILL key on the run so I don't think Manning simply being a "game manager" will be enough to win. He will have to beat them over the top with his (lack of an) arm.

Seeing some media pundits saying that the Pats had some trouble when the Chiefs put extra DBs on the field, so Denver should do that too. However, I think the Chiefs were successful with that because they still had a formidable defensive line up front that could handle things... IMO Denver's defensive line is good from a pass-rush perspective but they're somewhat small; if they put more DBs on the field, it might not be too hard to pound them with Steven Jackson.

I think it might also be wise to run some jet sweeps with Edelman, or fake the handoff and then throw him a screen. I know we don't love them, but screens will take the pass rush out of the equation, and if Harris can't cover his 2 year old, good luck tackling Jules in space.

I'm a liquor guy so I can't start ridiculously early lol.
