I have about 10 inches of snow and still coming down hard. I said 12-18 inches 2 days ago and late last night, Upton posted the same prediction.

I'm glad I haven't lost power with these wind gusts.

We hit 30" mid afternoon here in Olney, MD and it has only continued at a very strong pace.

3:20 p.m. update: The following locations in Virginia and Maryland report an astounding 30 inches or more of snow…

Md.: Parkville (33″), Olney (30″), Point of Rocks (31″), Jefferson – Frederick Co. (40″), Germantown (30″)

They say it should start winding down around 8pm, and that's when I'll go out with my son to do our 3rd snowblowing of the day.......Been spraying that Heat-Cold stuff on my back and shoulders all day and it works pretty well.

Very thankful that we have yet to lose power. Good job, Pepco!

wow that was a good workout and a **** ton of snow.

and i'm not done shoveling.

I went out and shoveled a walkway to our driveway but there is no way in hell I could shovel the actual driveway.

I hope some neighborhood kids are looking to make a buck.

Looking at maybe 4-5 inches now on the ground...decent winds but cold as **** out right now in neponset valley

Here in NH we haven't seen one flake...Stay safe everybody!

That's a 90lb GSD. We got hit pretty good but it looks like it finally let up.

Hey, we've got it rough in South Florida too. It was in the low 50s this morning. Very low 50s with the wind chill! I almost opted for long sleeves. ;)

Ehhh ... 6" here in North Providence RI ... I'll take that without complaint seeing how others have fared. Left the snow blower in the shed and just finished shoveling to work off my AFC championship anxiety. :D I don't understand why some in New England area complain about snow ... it comes every winter ... duh! I like all 4 seasons so it's nice to see some snow ... in moderation hopefully and if not spring always comes eventually.

Silver Spring MD. About two feet, maybe more, still snowing. I went out for a walk earlier. No traffic. Streets were plowed, albeit not too recently (up to three or four inches on some). Ditto some sidewalks. Found several businesses open, so I got a cup of coffee at the diner around the corner from my apartment, then walked farther and found my favorite bar was open but jammed. As I got there a couple leaving told me of another tavern a couple of blocks away that was open and not crowded, so I walked over there and enjoyed a nice Irish Coffee. If I can't find anywhere else I'll be back there watching the game tomorrow.

We got 1-2 inches here in Central MA...Worcester area...and what do you know...state isn't shut down for 4 days!

The aftermath....

Hope you guys didn't lose your power!

Almost gametime!!

Atlanta and the suburbs has EXPLODED in the past several years and the infrastructure has not kept up. I've had easier times getting around.

I figured that was the case when I saw your response. I haven't been there since 2002.
