Chris Harris is just playing us

It was obvious from the moment he said his shoulder was "worse than Ben's." He was just mocking Ben, because they didn't believe he was hurt.

Not that it matters. If they put him on Edelman, it will be as if he isn't even active.

Chris Harris, meet Jeremy Maclin.

Compare these injury reports from Wednesday

I don't know how much stock to put into these reports, but there's quite a contrast. The Patriots continue to be in rough shape while Denver appears almost completely healthy. The Broncos list 11 players, all full participation in practice while the Patriots have one DNP, 15 limited and four full.

Here is the complete Patriots injury report from Wednesday:

What happened to their OL in concussion protocol? All done?

My guess would be the broncos aren't being exactly truthful.

Chris harris is clearly injured...anyone who watched the game sunday could see that.

Chris Harris, meet Jeremy Maclin.
Maclin was pretty functional until he aggravated it.

If I understand his injury, he has a deep bone bruise. He'll get shot up and play alright.

Not how I saw it. That injury stiffens up on you as soon as you pressure it. No surprise that Maclin could do a few things early. Even less surprise the swelling came back. In other words, I dont think he reaggravated it. I think what happened was normal.

Reaggravate was a bad choice of words. My belief is that he got a good shot and the wrapped that thing so tight he could move it a specific way. Once the wrapping started the stretch it gave way...and it was over.

All the Patriots LP's are playing so it doesn't matter. They are just resting their players. Gronk and Edelman were LP's last week how did that work out?

Not the point. It's about not being deceptive. Broncos are clearly being deceptive.

I'm happy that Chandler Jones isn't listed with a knee injury. They'd list it if it was a problem, right? I was worried when they pulled him from last week's game.

I believe there is a lot of gamesmanship going on with these early reports.

Teams hoping the other side will have to waste certain practice reps adjusting to the updated reports

Which starters are NOT on the injury report?

Starting LB Jamie Collins headlines list of 16 questionable Patriots

If I'm reading things correctly, the starters NOT on the injury report are:
  • The starting RB, whoever that is.
  • The starting DTs, whoever they are.
  • The starting CBs (including the nickel CB).
I phrase it that way because RB and DT happen to be by-committee positions, but none of the committee members happen to be on the report. Similarly, whether you think Amendola is a starter or Chandler is -- either way, they're both on the report. (But if you think Mike Williams is above Chandler on the if-healthy depth chart and is in fact a starter, then what I said is slightly wrong.)

Also on the report are 2 of the top 3 ST cover guys and some other reserves.

At LB
  • Our starters are on the injury report.
  • Of the next three guys, one was just IRed and the other two are on the injury report.
  • Ninkovich is on the report too.

Overall, DAMN good news :

Jamie Collins (back) is good to go for the AFC Championship Game, per source.

(Hightower & Jones) Playing. Never in doubt

Patriots announce OL LaAdrian Waddle & Tre' Jackson didn't make the trip to Denver and are out for Sunday.
That means pretty much the same line as last week, then. Which isn't necessarily bad, if they play like they did last week.

But yeah, HT Collins and Jones all playing is VERY encouraging. I just hope they all can stay healthy through the game.
