Perhaps you're tired and your sarcasm radar was down.

Additionally that poster wrote "Yeah well, that doesn't explain why the Colts balls don't lose air pressure at the Methadome."

He was making a funny.
Amazing what Scotch does to your senses :) Apologies to Ivan.

There is one more chance to right this wrong ( not likely though). The NFL owners meeting is Mar 23-26. Hopefully by then we will have a decision by the 2nd Circuit exonerating Brady. If that is the case, a strategic move would be for Bob Kraft ( or if he doesn't want to make waves let Jonathan do it) make a motion and ask for a vote by all 32 owners, even if not binding a sense of the owners that science has proven there was no malfeasance on the part of Brady or the Patriots. In addition, all appeals should be withdrawn and the Patriots should be given back their wrongfully seized draft picks. There won't be much sympathy for the Patriots but get it on the record who votes which way.

Note- I assume the comment was yours and not old rovers

We have one chance for the wrong to be righted -- but it has nothing to do with NFL meeting or owners or a courtroom deciding collective bargaining clauses. All the Times articles and physics experts on the planet saying defamegate science is wrong ain't it either.
There's one chance, a smoking gun. That's it. An email that states Brady was innocent. An NFL exec who gets caught with some coke and a call girl who sings for leniency. Without those or something equivalent, otherwise, welcome to the world of confirmational bias and emotion. Like rock beats scissors, confirmational bias beats facts/logic. This human malfunction is on display everywhere (ohhh even here) and is coming to a voting booth theater near you (with exciting previews being seen on MSM outlets nightly)

I found this passage interesting. It's not particularly unexpected I suppose, but to hear someone of Nocera's reputation saying it means something:

Which makes Kraft's Other-31-ism even more repulsive and pathetic.

Not repulsive QM though maybe pathetic. Kraft thought he could sail out of the whirlwind with a palatable punch in the face by being the good 'other 31' soldier. That's not repulsive, that's just laughably naive especially for a guy so versed in business (though I suspect Kraft had fooled himself into thinking he walked on water within the NFL. He sure learned the hard way on that one).

If your suggesting that we hire a bunch of call girls with some IT skills and send them to NFL HQ, I'm all in. Start a Go Fund me ling and I will contribute.

speaking of confirmation bias and other cognitive errors...

great piece - someone send this link to Shank. It will allow him to learn about science, true journalism, and football all in one swoop.

Much in the same way in that old Lowenbrau commercial where someone suggests the idea of drinking a Lowenbrau: "Tony, you are a genius!" :)

On that "speaking of" game (kind of like your mama joke game), speaking of the time honored tradition of lashing out from the hurt feeling of someone suggesting (gasp!) a possible alternate explanation for Kraft's actions other than malicious, dastardly, evil deeds!

Wow, great article that is marred only by repeating the myth that Goodell destroyed the tapes to protect Kraft and the Patriots. Goodell destroyed them alright but only after showing them to a group of reporters.

I have your man.....

Al Neri, he did the same exact scenario you envisioned

The problem is I don't know any call girls with IT skills. All the call girls I know are users. I haven't found any from the support side :):).

Yeah well, that doesn't explain why the Colts balls don't lose air pressure at the Methadome.

So explain that smart guy?

Didn't think so.......

Calling a phone sex service might be a good place to start, although nowadays you'd probably end up talking to some girl in India.

Yeah, it was. :D

AND WE WANT OUR PICKS BACK...WITH AN APOLOGY!

They can stick their freaking apology right wherever they want too and simply return our picks, period.

The second scandal we don't hear about is ESPN.

Chris Mortenson reports false information and doesn't remove the tweet. When he's scheduled to appear on WEEI, he suddenly cancels as if ESPN tells him not to talk.

John Clayton continues to this day to claim "Mortenson had a scoop".

Lester Munson's analysis that -- if we want to paint them in the best possible light -- are cursory and incompetent.

Mike Reiss's comments being edited by ESPN and statements he didn't write being attributed to him.

ESPN is an accomplice.

Would their ombudsman dare to report on that?

I think it might have been a miss anyways. I mean.....how do we know Roger is into girls? Judging from recent events he might be into dudes with large foreheads or some kind of steam snorting donkey.

Do you know of any IT dudes with large foreheads who may or may not ride a donkey to work?

It would be more excellent if it called for the NFL to cut the crap and withdraw its appeal of the Brady decision.
Far more likely reaction would be for Goodell now to view this as "total war" and redouble his efforts to smear Brady.

I read an article a few years ago that said Jay Glazer still has the tapes.

Kevin ClarkVerified account‏@KevinClarkWSJ
Fox leads into Glazer saying he "was the only one who had the Spygate videos." Glazer corrects said he still HAS Spygate videos.

EDIT: Funny thing about spygate is that it is still legal to tape opposing team signals the problem is where you tape them from. In the case of spygate Belichick taped them from an illegal location although the Jets were legally taping Patriot signals from a legal location. Because of the design of the stadium the Jets could tape legally but the Pats could not.
