Ummmm.......so what channel is that weather forecaster on????

Because it looks like a really good map.

NBC 10. Looks like Philly's NBC channel. With a meteorologist like that, no wonder the weather gets excited.

Because it looks like a really good "map". (Not to mention the very oddly shaped and interestingly positioned cloud cover around Cape May).

I'm assuming your last sentence was a double entendre.

Yeah, it looks like Cape May is getting screwed. hahaha

OK, I just cant take it anymore! Why are so many forummers near me and not in NE? What is it about Patsfans and the "Dishrick" of Colunbia? :D
dunno, can't speak for anyone else, for me it's a great gig here. My question is, have any of us have been watching and posting to the game day thread from the same bar or lounge without knowing it? I moved, spent this season without NFL Sunday Ticket so had to find someplace to watch. Past years I've sometimes used meetup.com, this year I've been going to the Capitol Lounge on Pennsylvania Ave NE. Hoping I can get there this weekend! At least the District has buried power lines so they should have electricity. Otherwise I'll be stuck here in Maryland, at the mercy of Pepco and the elements. Any suggestions?

Brooklyn in a big, old rambling house that has pretty much survived everything. We barely felt Hurricane Sandy. Our Patriot Brothers and Sisters in the DC area will get far worse.

No offense to the game day posters but if you're posting from a bar you might want to reconsider the bar unless it's halftime. Even then.

Live in central MA...so nothing

(Sounds weird typing that)
Feels weird reading it. I prefer it when Central MA and the Cape get hit because it usually means Boston didn't.

Uptown. Not a flicker during Sandy.

I love snow. I'd love it more if we had hfa with this snow. 2 feet and lots of car crashes expected in philly.

I'm up in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania, looks like we will miss this one which is a nice change of pace since we usually get hit by every storm... It hasn't snowed one flake yet and doesn't look like it will snow more than maybe an inch.

Doesn't stop people from freaking out. Up until yesterday night, people at work were telling me they were hearing we were getting over a foot of snow. Do people even check the forecast anymore? Or do they just go off of hearsay 100%?

Finally a winter storm that is skipping Nova Scotia. Stay safe people.

I'm FROM Maine, but we're now on Long Guyland, where we're expecting about a foot of snow. So people are treating this like Armageddon and packing the grocery stores. LOL... c'mon, people! Toughen up!

I bought a few shear pins for the snowblower... made up a double batch of chili... and stocked up on brandy and bourbon. We're all set. Heh. ;)

How about you?

The storm has now passed. At 11am it was 70 outside, then it rained moderately hard with a few claps of thunder for about 15 minutes, the storm was then gone, and now it's 60 outside (and yes what hit here for 10 minutes is the same storm walloping you snowbirds :)).

Seriously, be safe all. I was a wee Boston lad when the Blizzard of 78 hit. As someone at the time who was barely old enough to be in grade school that was a great! time to be a kid. As an adult in his 40s? forgetaboutit....

Just relocated to north of Atlanta from RI and they declared a state of emergency for 21 counties.... wait for it... they are expecting possibly 2 inches. Yes that sound you heard was a head slap on my part.

Channel 2 in Atlanta trolls northern college football fans. :)

You write as if we all know where you are.
