OT: Marshawn Lynch considering retirement

Schneider believes Marshawn Lynch leaning towards retirement

Barring a change of circumstance and contract, running back Marshawn Lynch isn’t expected to be back with the Seahawks in 2016. But will he be back in the NFL?

Seahawks General Manager John Schneider said in a radio interview with ESPN Seattle Friday that he expects Lynch to retire.

If Lynch retires he’ll owe the Seahawks $5 million in bonus money, so his best play is to wait for the team to release him. His release seems inevitable since he’s due $9 million from the Seahawks next season.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I wonder if the Seahawks are regretting pretty much bribing him to come back for this season?

Did anyone ever ask Lynch why he was laughing after the end zone interception?

I highly highly doubt he retires. Said the same thing when he claimed that last season.

People react in different ways, my interpretation is he was just like "what the **** man" it was so tragedic that it was a bit comical in a weird way. Guy is a competitor I wouldn't doubt his competitive spirit since that run vs the Saints.

yeah, like Murphy's law in total display

He is from the "Bay Area" so there is a rumor that he wants to play for one of those teams for a year.

IDK How about a rephrase of "Some of the things that make us laugh are the same things that make us cry"?

Makes sense I suppose. It's better than Wilson going "durh what happened?"

I wouldn't mind seeing him in the Patriots lineup next year, providing he passes the physical and the money works. It'd certainly put the rest of the AFCE on notice. :)

Football pales in comparison to the death of a friend or family member and people's reaction to death is impossible to guess or, sometimes, comprehend.

Yep. Also in the nfcc comeback against gb, when he scored the go ahead td his teammates wanted to celebrate but he directed them to get ready for the 2 point conversion, which they probably would've lost the game without getting. I'll take him and his skittles on my team any day.

Lynch is a great player, but the Seahawks showed this season they can run without him back there. Our line is not built to run block, and having an expensive back doesn't seem to be the right plan for this team. Put me in the "resign our own guys and get healthy camp."

That said, if we're going to overspend I'd rather do it for Forte. I get dizzy thinking about him in the Pats offense.

You know that wont happen.

Is it that time of the year again? I thought he was retiring after last season.
