I don’t know why, logically it should not be the case, but I’ll be more pissed if the Pats lose this game than if they were to advance to the superbowl and lose the big one. I just can’t phantom the thought of losing to these douchebags, and seeing the media ball washing HGH to no end. They don’t deserve to be #1, heck may not even deserve to be in the playoffs. Should have lost last week damn it! It’s just too much for me to bear. Please please please please win this game! I’m somewhat ok with losing in the superbowl, but please don’t lose this one.

As the days go on...i am getting more and more confident in this game. Hightower saying last time in DEN it left a bad taste and they want to change that...all of the Broncos and broncos writers acting like the game is already won.

I just have a good feeling weirdly

Agreed. I'm more confident now than I was last Sunday as well.

At first I thought the Pats would win in a tight affair, but now....I just can't see how the Broncos score more than 23 points.

I think the Pats will be able to get over 24 and that'll obviously be the difference.

Collins and Hightower will not let Anderson and Hillman run ragged like last time. Manning isn't going to present the threat of a scramble run like Osweiler did and it's going to be cold. Forehead already can't throw, now I'm supposed to think he's going to turn back the clock and burn the secondary in 35 degree weather? No way.

Edleman, Gronk, Amendola, White and Keshawn/LaFell will be very hard for them to stop with a gimpy Harris and one less safety in Omar Bolden.

If the line does its job, this game could be a blowout. The only way Denver has a shot is if the line crumbles and gets to Brady. I think with Vollmer back to health, it'll hold up enough to let Brady get the ball out quick.

I'm calling it 24-16. Denver scores late to make it seem closer than what it was.

You'll change your tune when they win on Sunday and we have to hear from ****y ass Panthers fans next

When Keyshawn Martin fumbled early in the 4th quarter we led 21-7 and the Bronco offense had run 10 drives. 7 were 3 and out. The other 3 were missed FG, punt and TD.
They had only 218 yards of offense. Their RBs were 21 carries for 88 yards. Osweiler was 15-28-132.
It was a GREAT defensive effort for 3 quarters, then we allowed 3 TDs and a FG and 215 yards on FIVE drives.

Did they figure us out? Did Hightower being out have that much of an effect?
Did we get gassed in the altitude.

Our D vs their O on Sunday hinges on those questions.

Don't know about it. The Panthers are not really our rivals, and HGH is not their QB.

You weren't here yet, but a bunch of them came around in 2013 and they weren't bad at all.

I do worry about the Leagues undoubted happiness of having Peyton Manning sign off in what is almost certainly his final year with a ring.

But even if he advances them, does anyone really think the Broncos are going to beat Arizona or Carolina?

Whatever NFC team advances is going to trash Denver, should they advance

The Pats on the other hand make it a game.

I know it won't happen.

but, I believe the Pats have the personnel to pull it off. could we deploy the amoeba defense against Peyton and would it be effective (considering he's seen everything). It'd be a way to make Peyton, probably want to back off the run, but might allow us to confuse him to cause an interception or two.

As much as I love the idea I dont think now is the time for experiments. There are some clear vulnerabilities on the Broncos team that we can exploit without going too exotic.

But I'd love to see it next regular season.

I really wish Easley didn't get hurt. He wouldn't have been a big piece last week against Alex Smith as we wanted to contain him in the pocket and he wouldn't be a big piece against Cam Newton for the same reason but he would be absolutely crushing against Peyton.
While I of course agree that it sucks Easley got hurt, taking the broader view on it, we gotta be pretty damn happy right now on the injury front. I mean, injuries are just a freaking fact of life in the NFL...as we know all too well this year. But all things considered right now?

Think back to that Denver game, and how you felt when Gronk was screaming on the turf. I couldn't feel my face.

I wish Easley didn't get hurt. But I'll roll with the team the Pats are fielding Sunday any day.

I was seething in rage when that happened. The way the game and penalty calls/no calls were going, that launch at Gronk's knee put me over the edge. I hadn't felt that kind of rage in any other game, not even close

I have a feeling g we will be seeing hightower, Collins and jones in and out of the game due to injury

Two random thoughts on Sunday, not really based on logic but whatever, one good, one bad:

--The bad, which is the more illogical of the two and really means nothing: I feel that the Pats will win comfortably on Sunday, and far too many of the idiots on tv agree with me for my liking. I don't want to be on the same page with Schlereth, Mike & Mike. etc. Seems like they're wrong SO MUCH. But sometimes they're right. So it's a stupid concern really.

--The good: the only thing not to like about this game from the Pats perspective, to me, is that it's in Denver. But I keep going back to that weird Miami game to end the season. Pats didn't try to win. Belichick is smart. He knew a victory meant home field. Didn't care. If he's good playing in Denver, then so am I.
