Gronk talks more trash via Instagram

Come on Gronk!! I hope this is a fake. I find it hard to believe. If not, he playing right into their hands. But, on the other hand, Fvk the Jack@55es. They've been talking 5h!t, so, game on be-oches.
I have never understood the idea that an opponent will all of a sudden care about winning and play better against you if you say something bad about them.
Its really silly.

LOL, it's not fake. He controls that account. I've been following it for years.

Really? There's not one post on there that proves its real.

All the pictures are either reposts from the NFL or Patriots account or its stuff you could easily find on Google images or his Twitter account, plus it's not verified.

If you're a celeb and not verified on Instagram or Twitter, it's pretty much a fake fan account.

There are a lot of accounts on Instagram that aren't verified. If it's not his then why edit it? Why would a fan care that he labeled the Broncos "trash"?

I usually hate this. However every game he plays against Denver they try to take his knees out. Almost succeeded last time. That and Ward blabbing about his hit in Cleveland and how he's sure it's a much worse memory for Gronk than it is for him.

I dunno..a little stuff from the guy targeted is somewhat okay by me.

Gronks shooting his way out of town just like WW did with his wise-cracks to the other team.

and if you believe that remark for just a second, shame on you :p

I'm not on my phone right now, but just saw it. It's a pic of him from the earlier game against the Broncos with the caption, and I quote: "It's almost game day! Are you guys ready to see the trash, I mean the Broncos get destroyed? #GetGronkd".

Personally, I'd prefer we don't talk trash in the week leading up to a big game and save it for after the game. Hopefully Belichick just has a talk with him behind closed doors about it and doesn't do the same crap he pulled with Welker in 2010. That said, I hope he backs up that trash talk and has a monster game. Seems he's pretty confident.

According to Curran, and I think he has it right, the reason Welker sat was that he went into an area that brought Ryan's wife into it. I think there most Gronk will get is a lecture.

Pretty sure that's a fake account.

It's not verified and with a big celeb like Gronk his Instagram would most certainly be.

Nothing to see here.

Yea I'm pretty sure you're right. Even right in the account bio it says this is the "Official Fan Page of New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski"

It's possible, I suppose. I just don't know why a fan would suddenly care to edit it. I know if I ran a fan page, I wouldn't give a rat's ass about that.

Really?

BB uses this sort of stuff all the time to motivate the Pats. He has done so for years. Bobby Hamilton told a friend of mine that the team knew what BB was doing but it made them angry and more motivated nonetheless. Do you still have your imaginary friend at Gillete? They should know.

Personally dont like this if its true. Basically achieved what the broncos players wanted to do. Engage in this talk and step out of character. When another team's player says stuff like this we go up in arms, when our guy says this, its no big deal and isnt going to make anyone play harder . Doesnt work both ways.

If he wants to talk trash then fine--I don't like it, but that's his call--but damn, do a better job than that.

After the 2013 Ravens talked nonstop **** for a week, then came into Foxboro and beat us, I stopped getting annoyed when other teams trash talk the Pats. I figure it's up to the team to make them pay, and maybe they will maybe they won't.

His dig on Harris the other day on Twitter was great, though:

Its rhetoric. Coaches try to pump up their players. There are many ways to do it, us against the world is a common one.
Thinking a player is going to want to win more or play harder because some guy said something bad about him is ridiculous. Its one means to get a team focused, but they get focused just as much if they are rallying around whatever else is used.

The going up in arms when another player does it is the part that is wrong.

Does it really matter how fans on a message board react?

Harrison and Bruschi were pretty open about how they used slights from the other team to get pumped up, weren't they? I don't totally get it either, but I believe them when they say that's a thing that happens.

OK, let me explain.
There is no way that Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi are not going to give 100% effort, only if someone on the other team offended them. Think about that. They don't really care about winning, but when someone makes a comment, now they do????????

Here is what happens. Players and teams absolutely get motivated. Coaches put players in the right mindset.
They use what is available, and there are many more things available than bulletin board comments.
BB reading the Eagles parade route is just a way to focus the team. He did that the night before the game, and he has also brought a SB trophy to the night before meeting as a different means of getting players focused.
I'm sure Harrison and Bruschi were fired up by using those comments because they were used when it was time to fire the team up, and they would have been equally fired up if the message was something totally different.

I am sure they remember it as the comments got them fired up, but in reality they were getting just as fired up whether the comments were there or not.
Unless you want to believe they would have coasted without motivation because they have none unless someone criticizes them.

I have no problem with talking trash AS LONG as you back it up. Some of the best athletes of all time talked alot of smack.

People edit stuff. I edit posts on my social media all the time. Not that odd.

I think its pretty much fact now that's it's a fan page, considering it says it on there.

It's a fan page. Nothing to see.

Not sure if it is good or bad that I have no idea what Instagram even is.. guess it is not my demographic. My grandson mentions it every once and while.. but other than that, no idea.
