Edelman getting a lot of recognition

I did not say those specifically, but when he was flirting with the Giants, it was met with a shoulder shrug from me punctuated with, "He is always injured anyway".

Same here, and I think a lot of us felt that way. But not wanting to get into a bidding war over a guy who hasn't shown much through four years is is a whole lot different than wanting someone to be cut, of course.

Edelman should have made the probowl. Best slot WR in the NFL and slot WR should be voted on as its own position as should nickle CB.

Except looking at where he lines up shows that he is not a slot receiver.

His popularity is not only because of his on field acumen, but he does a real good job of self promotion.

Many people wanted him gone not because of bad performances but because he was always injured for years early in his career. You can't fault them for that a lot of them just don't truly support our players. They probably wanted tom cut after four games last year too, but there is no excuse for that.

He's pretty smart but I think he also has a pretty shrewd manager. Edelman has constantly been promoting himself/is being promoted but it's done tastefully and not over the top, that we don't even notice it.

I remember touting him as the future focal point of our offense after his 4 catch 3rd season in 2011. I think virtually everyone saw this coming.

I did.........

really

I figured out the secret to winning the game this weekend: BB puts Edelman in at nickel corner, Manning throws a total duck that his receiver has no chance at catching and Edelman picks it off and runs it back for a TD.

He really isn't a slot reciever, he lines up everywhere and a lot of the time on the outside. Probably more often than not on the outside.

He won me over in the 2009 AFCDG debacle vs the Ravens. One of the few guys to actually show up that game.
I recall him being one of the few bright spots in the Jets loss as well. Always been a big time playoff performer.

I was going to say exactly the same. He caught a screen on the far side, got swarmed by 6 defenders, and stayed alive longer than I've ever seen any player stay alive in that situation to eke out 5 yards instead of losing 5. Heart of steel.

Plenty of people said it.
They said he wouldn't be a good reciever but, I can't recall anybody calling for him to be cut. At worst he was an excellent punt returner.

Most Pats fans have always loved Julian, from his first preseason here. It's hard to blame those who lost patience with him, since BB didn't seem too determined to keep him in the fold after 2012.

The James White Hate Club has way more egg on their faces. The kid was despised here from day 1 for no good reason.

People didn't think he deserved a roster spot after preseason last season. Glad BB has more patience than people on here.

Julian Edelman is our Antonio Brown not the Biggest guys in the world but from their play you wouldn't no it.

.

Guilty.:oops::p

the early argument was that he was"made of glass". He always made plays, when healthy, just had some bad luck early on in his career with injuries.
Unfortunately he has continued to suffer from those injuries consistently through out his career.
