I doubt the Broncos plan is to spread the field and throw. Rain can help a run game IF you win your blocks.
I dont think our Run D is rock solid to deter the broncos from running. As long as the score is close they will keep running.

Same. I am trying to stay busy. ( play hockey 3 nights a week so it takes my mind off of it a bit)..that and some beer!
I think will be a big mess by gametime .dont know how I will watch the game or If I will.

The way I see the Pats right now is simple. I think injuries kept them from peaking earlier in the year. If they had gone undefeated I think the playoffs would have been harder for them. They've got key players back and shaking the rust off. Altho the O line still concerns me, they're getting better. They did a fine job against KC last week.
I think they will be at their peak for the next two games. If they don't suffer any injuries I see no way and no team to keep them from the next superbowl trophy.
Brady was throwing the ball within, what, a couple of seconds last week? Denvers vaunted D will be helpless against that. They can't get to him in 2 seconds.
The Pats D is not chopped liver. I think even if someone, heaven forbid, in the offense goes down, the D can carry this team. I am a little apprehensive but also chomping at the bit. Bring it. Let's get to it.

A win this Sunday makes up for the 2006 AFC Championship and the 2013 AFC Championship. It simply has to happen.

Obviously Brady > Manning, but if we lose on Sunday then Brady is 1-3 against Manning in the AFCCG, which is more valuable than Brady's big edge in the regular season. He has to win so that it's 2-2 in the AFCCG and then the rest of the wins are obviously lopsided.

This is the week where I can't let stupid comments from moronic Denver fans go unanswered. An exchange I just had with one:

Brady is a filthy cheater.

Go Peyton.

Can't wait to see what the moron has to say next. I'm so fired up and ready for Sunday.

UPDATE: His response is in!!

Oh a bunch of links to explain your argument for you. Fascinating.

Yet his argument was a jpg of a few text messages. What a complete moron.

Is the idiot's argument that Mcnally was tampering with the inflation of the balls during the week before the game? How exactly would that work? The balls get inspected before the game. It would only make sense that this was evidence of cheating if that exchange happened in the 2 hours and 15 minutes between when the balls are handed over for inspection and kickoff. This is obviously not that.

Or is he saying that complaining about balls being over-inflated by the refs is proof that they were up to no good? I guess the "deflation scheme" was pretty ineffective if that happened during a game last season, eh?

This should help your cause a bit. Plenty of juicy tidbits.

A year after deflate-gate ballooned, science shows shame of it all

Thanks. Another poster just stepped in now.

Pats fans are the worst

Especially how they're still closing their eyes on how Brady is a cheater

And then the original idiot responded with
Indeed. Blind morons tbh.

Not going to respond until tomorrow after work, but I will incorporate that link thank you. Although judging by their responses, it's most likely beyond their comprehension.

Now now, let's not expect logic from these people.

You should bring up the fact that the only time the Broncos have won any SB's was when they cheated the salary cap.

Cap zap: Broncos pay with fine, pick

Yeah, a Broncos fan bringing up cheating is like Peyton pointing out someone's fivehead.

Yup. I'm already getting jittery.

I haven't had any pre-game jitters in quite a long time. I think the last time I had pre-game jitters was maybe the 2013 AFC champ game.

The last time I got a little nervous watching a game was the 2014 divisional game against the ratbirds when we were down 14 points(2nd time) and after Kearse made that circus catch in the Superbowl.

Even down 21 against the eagles I never had a shred of doubt we were going to make a comeback until we had no more possessions left. Shame on all those fans who left the stadium. When will they learn? Absolutely shameful and pathetic fans they were.

I had been hearing and reading a consistent drone about BB/Brady being just 2-6 in Denver, so I decided to go back and take a look at the losses.

2001 - Broncos 31, Patriots 20: This was Brady in his 'rookie' season, not long before the Patriots went on their run. After taking a 17-10 lead into the half, and then going up 20-10 with a FG on the team's first drive of the 3rd quarter, Brady threw 4 second half picks, including a pick-6.

2005 - The transition/stroke year. Patriots lose to the Broncos twice, including the controversial playoff game where the refs blew the call on Watson's tackling of Bailey.

2009 - The rehab year. Patriots lose 20-17, in overtime

2013 - Broncos 26, Patriots 16: A depleted Patriots team trailed, but was still in the game, and then Welker collided with Talib on a pick play, Talib left the game with an injury, and it was all over.

2015 - Broncos 30, Patriots 24 (ot): A seriously depleted Patriots team has the 21-7 4th quarter lead, before mistakes (blown PR, for example) and horrible officiating combine to help the Broncos come back and win the game in overtime.

Take from that what you will.

Yes when Talib got injured Denver got the upper hand .
For Sunday, no injuries, no drops ! maybe some safety or cb delayed blitztes, all you have to do is get near Payton and he will drop.

If you look at everything happening leading up to this game you would have to believe there is a conspiracy against the Pats. I hope and pray Brady is sharp, that he is able to put some points up, because if it is close the refs will become a factor. The refs influenced the last Broncos game and I'm confident they'll do it again without batting an eye.
This is the NFL page of Yardbarker this morning. Look at the headlines inside my yellow circle. Tell me the NFL isn't actively involved in trying to disrupt and influence the Patriots concentration pregame, with a straight face. Then tell me, with the same straight face, that they won't try to influence the game while it is being played.
I have a real good feeling about where the Pats are as a team, yet I also have a real bad feeling about the game if it is close.

A little more from the Barker. Just up early and bored so I have to entertain myself.
Kind of interesting take on the blowout thing.

"The idea that both games will be close doesn't necessarily match up too well with history. A total of 10 of the past 13 AFC Championship games have been decided by multiple scores. In the NFC, the past eight conference title games have been decided by one score.
This makes us want to look a bit more at the AFC than the NFC when it comes to a potential blowout. Considering Carolina and Arizona lost a combined two games by more than one score, this makes even more sense.
The New England Patriots aren't going to get blown out. That's rarely happened during the Tom Brady era. In fact, he's lost only four games by more than one score over the past five seasons.
One of the interesting things to look at here is just how poorly Peyton Manning has performed in Denver losses over the past few years.
In the nine regular-season games he's lost since joining the Broncos back in 2013, Manning has thrown 16 touchdowns compared to 18 interceptions. Despite his negative touchdown-to-interception ratio, the Broncos have lost those nine games by an average of less than nine points per game."

Scores from the 2005 games? Also, 2009 was the loss to McDaniels. Seems amazing he was a head coach so long ago now.
