Stats on the matchup:

At the bottom of the stats page lots of links on the Pats O. Good info as always from Kirwan.

Oooooh, that 2nd link was doing so well until this doozy:

"Plus, New England is without its best run-stopping linebacker; Jerod Mayo was placed on Injured Reserve earlier this week and will miss the rest of the season......"

Is it that hard to get info correct? I swear, I could do a better job.

Yeah he screwed up on the Mayo thing but they do a great job of breaking down plays and explaining in great detail how Brady controls the offense etc....

I've learned a lot from these guys.

Miller was doing pretty well in the first link until he said that New England played without Gronk in the first matchup...maybe he was alluding to losing him in the fourth quarter? He also failed to mention that they were without Amendola in that game as well.

Miller says wade phillips is 5-2 vs Brady?

Calling Mayo our best run-stopping LB is like calling LaFell our best WR. It's not just wrong; it's so wrong that I just can't get past it and take anything else they say seriously.

Pretty sure that's not true either, Phillips was the DC for the Texans for those years that we were regularly curb-stomping them.

YEah Miller ignored Hightower and the effect he had on the run D in the Denver game itself.

Also during his stint in Dallas.

Always wonder why the Mediots never ask Miller, Mallett, Hoyer et al if they were aware of any shenanigans by the Pats concerning manipulation of footballs?? If anyone would know that they would...

But then again none the equipment issues were about the truth now were they???

IIRC Miller and Kirwan were very dismissive of the allegations a year ago.

Yeah. Off the top of my head, he was 0-3 vs. Brady led teams from his Dallas and Houston stints. He won this year in Denver when the offense was depleted. I'd have to Google his other stops.

He was with SD from 2004-2006 so probably 1-1 in that span

According to BSPN it's the other way around (I feel dirty for having been there).

Clayton: Forget Brady vs. Manning -- this is Brady vs. Wade
In his career against Brady as a head coach or defensive coordinator, Phillips is 2-5. Not be a good number in most circles, but against Brady it's not bad. Opponents in the regular season win only 22.8 percent of their games against him. In the playoffs, they win only 26.6 percent.

I thought maybe the 5-2 nonsense was a Reference to'is HeadCoaching Record against us, because he did really well against Coach Carroll when he was screwing over Flutie in Beefalo, but I came up with 4-4.
