BI: Patriots biggest weakness may be Broncos greatest strength

Aside from Edelman, Amendola, and Gronk, I expect to see more of White. He can be used as a WR or out of the backfield for some quick screens. Brady can get the ball out to him quick and hopefully he can rack up some YAC. Even Martin will be useful as he seems to be a quick guy. Not expecting much from LaFell but who knows.

Wasn't for him the last 3 times he's played there

Week 12 (23/42 280 3 TD)
'13 AFCC (24/38 277 1 TD 1 Rush TD) (given the circumstances of throwing to guys like Austin Collie, Matthew Mulligan, Matthew Slater and Michael Hoomanawaui)
'11 (23/34 320 2 TD)

Ya he is 1-2 but it's laughable to consider any of those games bad games for him.

Wait? Are you saying LaFell and Grok are better than Mulligan and Collie? Stop it! LOL

Who's pic is that in your Avatar btw?

The first play should be a screen to LaFell as he runs over Talib with Gronk blocking in front of him!!!!

If they let the DBs play loose and allow contact downfield vs our WRs then this could be a problem for us. Seattle last yr was a good example. Until they blocked benett we had issues, once they tired, our Wrs had time to get open. Goes both ways.

First of all, all I could think about when I read this article, was the author had a "keen sense of the obvious". Sometimes I have to roll my eyes when I read this posts about "this is how you stop Tom Brady". It's like they leave out the rest of the title which would be....."and every other QB who ever lived".

"Tom Brady, doesn't like to get hit". Name me the QB who does!!!! They are ridiculous. How obvious can you get. Denver has a great DL (and one of the most expensive), and Brady has only 2 of the 5 offensive linemen who played with him in the superbowl and BOTH of them are playing hurt. You don't need Sherlock Holmes to get the clue here.

God it drives me nuts sometimes to think that these yutses are getting paid to write this crap, while sit at home waiting for Ian's check to arrive. ;)

Whoever wrote that article does not watch the games and "copy & pastes" vapid talking points instead. The video segment embedded show Brady getting sacked which at that particular time was a product of not having any top notch receivers suited up NOT catlike quickness from the Denver defense...

Can't have the TOP look like last week. In that thin air the D would be cooked by the end of the 3rd.

The big issue on that play in the article is not the pass blocking. The big issue is that the guys going out for passes include Brandon LaFell, Keshawn Martin, Scott Chandler, and Asante Cleveland because Edelman, Amendola, and Gronk were all unavailable at that point. White was sent out on a route too and could have prevented the sack if he was kept in, but the offensive coordinator couldn't trust four players running routes to get open. LaFell and Martin are fine but you expect them to hold their own against a nickel or dime guy, while the injuries let the Broncos line them up against Harris or Talib.

Chandler actually got bumped and held 10 yards down the field, too, though it didn't make much of a difference. Surprised they didn't flag him for OPI.
