That didn't take long!
Player to DC in just 5 years.

BB sticks it to Mangina again.

No doubt BB vouched for Vrabel to Kelly.
It seemed weird when it was initially said that Kelly was going to keep Judas. Glad to see it may not end that way, whatever influence Bill may have had in it.

Imagine how Mangini feels potentially losing his job to someone he once coached. That's gotta smart.

Good for Vrabel. I hope he is successful (except when he plays the Pats, of course). I still have his jersey, a Mother's Day gift some years ago.

Being from NH, I'm a huge Chip Kelley fan. He may have made some mistakes in Philly but he got screwed by a bunch of backstabbing, political hacks and a silver-spooned owner who hates to have his Christmas parties moved.

With York and Baalke, I'm not sure his situation has improved.

It make not be the best situation in the world but for Vrabel, you gotta start somewhere but man that D needs alotta work.

I liked vrabel but then got sick of his mouth. He was a media go to guy and in their eyes he could do no wrong for the simple fact that he played footsie with the media....

Good for him, glad to see he's doing so well in his coaching career.

Again, I really really hope that ownership and management in San Fran have learned from the Harbaugh debacle. You've gotta let your coaches coach.

Additionally because initially it sounded like Chip was keeping him and Judas' former mentor Kelly's good friend, likely called Chip and "advised" him to look elsewhere.

Sure hope Vrabes takes it so Chip doesn't have to go back to Judas.

It would be cool to see someone give Pepper Johnson a shot at DC.

That's quite a big step for Vrabel. then again, the guy knows how to work hard.

Well deserved and I hope he has great success.

Great news for Mike Vrabel. I've always liked him. I hope he does well.

I'm guessing that would be Peter Principle for him.

From what we know about his roles, his opportunities, how he's perceived, etc., I'm guessing that he's not being unfairly held back.

Same here.

I always had him pegged to be head coach at Ohio State. But if he became so good a pro coach that he never went back to the college ranks, that wouldn't surprise me either.

Not that it's likely, but could you imagine if Vrabel became HC of the NEP before Brady retired?

Then after he wins the Super Bowl in his rookie season as HC, Vrabel could move on to be President of the US.

Things are looking up for Mike.
