Wait a minute! The Patriots did not list him on their injury report last week yet he got all those stitches. INJURY-GATE! Say goodbye to our 2017 and 2018 first round draft picks!!!

I am so $%^*ing proud of Darius!!!! - - H.E.R.O.

He's been a binky of mine ever since last TC.

He's been even more of a binky of mine since this NFL Films video from a few months back
(stuff on him starts aound the 6 minute mark).

This news simply makes him worthy of a pedestal.

TMZ is saying that there is no record of this accident.

There's conflicting reports on this between Volin, TMZ and Chris Villani:

On Darius Fleming, per Walpole police log, there was a multi-vehicle accident last Thursday 4:19 p.m. on Rte 1 & Foxhill Drive, no injuries

I believe no injuries would mean no one got treated by EMTs at the scene or left in an ambulance. Which could still be the case. Maybe he didn't realize he was cut until after.

........hope it's all some miscommunication:

I'm having same issue as TMZ: Neither Foxboro, Wrentham, Walpole or Mass State police say they have record of car crash described by Fleming

I think Fleming said he went back to the stadium to get stitches.

Here's the police log from this tweet from Bob McGovern

My guess would be a car was wrecked or had been on fire and was undriveable.

The thing that irritates me about this is the obvious "I hope the Patriot player was lying" sentiment in all of the reports about how it can't be confirmed.

The idea that the more delicious story would be that if Fleming was a lying sack of **** and not a decent human being willing to risk his own safety for a stranger is a major problem with our 'news media' these days.

Volin is backtracking now:

FYI, called Walpole police twice, was twice told they didn’t have a record of a crash. Called a 3rd time, they said they found an incident.

TMZ was the first to say that there was no police report. Sounds like there are people that want to get a headline out there and create distractions.

It was a very brave thing he did.

I was in a similar situation abut 15 years ago. I was driving just south of the Newburyport Bridge on I95 heading north. A car flipped over a 1/2 mile in front of me and was in the median on the grass. I and a few others pulled over to help. An elderly man fell asleep at the wheel. No one was severely hurt but the three passengers were screaming. We got them out easily and very quickly.

I was scared to death that the car was going to blow up and it wasn't even on fire!

You kinda do have a point.

22 stitches is no joke.
