Weather for AFCCG: Rain/Snow?

You're looking at the following weekend.

The weekend we care about is predicting a high of 48, cloudy and 10% chance of rain.

I couldn't care less. If this was the 2013 Denver offense I might be more inclined to give a ****. But the current Denver offense is incompetent even in perfect conditions.

So, we'll be watching Manning play on a warm sunny field while we're being buried in snow here in the Northeast... that's nice... excuse me for a moment...

Indeed. I know the Broncos have some stuff going for them but they have one of the worst starting QB in the league. If we can't beat them anywhere in any conditions we certainly shouldn't be in the Super Bowl.

This is at odds with local forecasts for this area.

While it will be warm in the run-up to Sunday's game, local forecasters see Sunday as rather cool, with a high of 40, and a game-time temp of 37, falling to 31 by game's end, with a good chance of light snow falling by then.

All I's knows is what I's sees!

:)

I saw someone post that, maybe you, on another thread. I guess we'll have to wait and see, mine is from weather.com, I would assume the locals would be more likely to be correct.

I know all about Peyton's troubles in cold weather, but it has become very clear the Pats will live or die throwing the ball, and the Broncos will live or die running it. I believe we will see Brock out there earlier than most expect, so I don't think good weather will hurt us as much as people think.

If Collins and Hightower play and can stay on the field there is no excuse to lose this game, IHMO.

Yeah. To me that's the bottom line, especially since we'll have had two shots at them. Yes, we had them beat until Harper's fumble. And, yes, the officiating sucked from our perspective. But now we have a second chance and no one's going to listen to any complaining if we lose.

BTW, if we don't turn the ball over, I don't think the game will be close. Peyton has now played six quarters without a pick. He's due for a couple. But, if we turn the ball over and give him one or more extra possessions, especially with good field position, well, he's still Peyton Manning.

Shows game time temp of 37 with light snow possible dropping to 31 by the end of the game.

That runs contrary to other reports, but since I like it, it must be true! ;)

Peyton does like it when the temp is below 40. A little wind chill and it will feel like the 20's. Mix in a little snow and maybe Peyton will think he's back in Foxboro...maybe Ty Law should be an honorary captain.

apparently we're getting a blizzard so its a shame we are not playing here.

thanks bill. this could cost us a trip to the SB

we'd kill them at Gillette in the freezing cold!!!

We also just lost our first ever BB/Brady snow game this year...in Denver.

Why do you say this? Our ran game sucks, Throwing in that weather is not ideal, I know Brady is used to it, but his receivers are not. Our fond recollection of past games in the snow is blinding people. Our defense is a fast attack one and I saw them struggling in the snow in Denver.
For this game, I want elements out as much as possible.

Manning has a career record of 8-11 playing outdoors with the temperature below 40 degrees, with 30 touchdowns and 23 interceptions

Cold weather usually an issue for Manning
