NFL might be planning to release "a summary" of PSI findings

Bill Nye the Seahawks guy.

I always liked him until last year. When he spewed all that BS it shattered my illusions of him like Santa Claus. Of course then we found out that he didn't even have a science degree.

Science commentator PhD Neil Tyson also blew the IDG calcs, neglecting to use absolute pressure.

Joker my Brother, I don't think most of the insipid media is actually believing anything. Media people are no different than the Smoking people in front of Congress 30 years ago saying "we don't believe smoking causes disease". Most of media is doing what they do deliberately and with full knowledge that the truth is but a hunk of clay, or an obstacle, to be shaped and molded into a vehicle to get their product to market.
Why media is given the respect it is given could be a greater mystery than the continuum.

You are probably right...but why not just compile the number and post them online. Let the media, opinionated people, etc. see for themselves. There is a saying in Evidenced Based Medicine: "In the absence of data, we are all experts."
In the case of deflategate, because no true pre and post data is available, everyone has an opinion...most commonly unsubstantiated and against the Patriots.

Which is why the Patriots could have compiled their own data all season long and posted it...before the NFL puts out their own tainted numbers.

i don't think anyone wanted to go against the NFL "science" that became Deflategate without taking on the commish and his cronies attacking back with lawsuits and publicly calling them out as being Patriots homers.

what a travesty this all was. When the Pats win SB50 I really hope Goodell looses his job.

What i meant is Goodell will never give up his case against the Pats and will always see us as cheaters. So when we win SB50 the owners will tell him to drop his case against us.

When did the truth become such a rare commodity? Are the media so cowered by the NFL that they couldn't their own research?? The networks that don't have NFL contracts would have been the perfect ones to do it. Look at the Minnesota Seattle game. Test a ball at pre-game, at halftime and at the end of the game. It would make dramatic tv and be scientific, not BS..
Where are Edward R Murrow or Joseph Welch when you need their type??????

Yeah, right. They are much more likely to tell him to sniff up some more dirt on us, since we obviously must still be cheating. And Kraft will sit on his hands and let it happen...again.

I'm so nervous for this. Obviously they'll only release it if it supports the nfl's case... And people will eat this up just like they bought the cell phone story. Man this is gonna suck. All that has to happen is ESPN comes out with 1 sentence to put everywhere about how the findings were confirmed and the entire country starts talking again about us being cheaters

Laughable. Nobody will believe them except maybe a few chest thumping Patriot haters and if the league does exonerate the Patriots it's an admission this was a waste of time and $5M.
