Superior Patriots TV Viewing: How To Mute Phil Simms: A Simple Guide

I don't seem to have any delay issues when I mute the TV and play the game call from over-the-air FM via the Patriots radio network on my stereo.

Simms and Greg Gumbel were a decent tandem as well.

The problem is Simms and Nantz are pretty much the same guy. At least Gumbel was different and got Simms to loosen up. Nantz is a goddamn golf commentator, for crying out loud.

He used to be good at hoops but is bad now as well.

I can get 'Zo on Sirius XM but they're always way behind the TV anyone have a suggestion as to how to sync them?

If they're behind the TV broadcast, use your DVR and pause for a couple seconds then restart to sync up.
Keep trying until you're in good sync.
If Sirius is ahead, you're screwed

thanks!! xm is always behind

Too much work. I just turn the sound down and follow the game thread here.

I'm not sure that's any better...

I tried the ol' listen on Patriots FM radio and liked it. During Jest games, I would play Yakety Sax on my phone during their drives...made the game WAY more enjoyable.

If you really want a great viewing experience, watch the game on Sky Sports. Its quite amazing. Earlier in the season I wanted to watch a game which wasn't available here in our area. Found a stream from sky sports and I was blown away.

Instead of tons of commercials like we have, they only have a few commercials. During (our) normal commercial breaks, they instead show the side lines/field and discuss the game. Heck, they might even have video of the colts person illegally measuring Brady's intercepted football from last year.

Here is the biggie though (for me), they rarely talk while a play is being run. The let the play finish and then discuss what happened. You get to hear all the sounds of the field without someone blabbing away. It was very refreshing.

Doesn't matter how bad the announcers are, I can't stand watching with some other audio going on. Just too weird and disconnected.

Sims used to be good. Typical for broadcasters who have been around a long time to become lazy, mail it in and believe that people are tuning in to listen to them and not watch the game.
I guess i wasn't the only one that thought this. At one time Simms was fine, but he stinks now.

It's either MST3K or Google Play Music for me. I split the screen on my computer, watch the game, and bring da funk.
