Is it enough to just win this week?

Normally I just want to win and avoid injuries. You obviously hope they play well and if they put a whooping on somebody all the better. However between the national rhetoric trying to slant every single stat to make it seem even between Manning and Brady I want this to be an epic beat down where Tom lights it up and Peyton throws a half dozen picks.

Ones I've already heard this week.

Manning is 2-1 vs Brady in the conference title game: Right don't bring up that Brady is 11-5 all time and 2-2 in the playoffs and the two times Manning won were the two times the Patriots were just decimated by injuries or the flu.

Brady and Manning are one and two in career playoff starts at 30 and 25 games: Don't being up that one is 22-8 and the other 12-13.

Manning's receivers had a lot of drops this weekend or his numbers would have been better: Did you not watch the Pat's game? Also it's a lot harder to catch a non-spiral duck.

KC dropped a couple of picks that Brady could have throw: So did the Steelers for Manning.

Between the media and Manning saying he had the foresight to tell Sanders that if he fell down keep running I'll get up and find you I just want an epic beat down.

I usually only max out on SB care but I could live with a victory Sunday and someone else winning this SB. This team is SO banged up that anything is a bonus. i also feel very bullish about next year's 53 such that a near miss would be tolerable. What is intolerable is Manning beating Brady (I know, I know, it's a team game) and even worse possibly winning a 2nd SB, not that I believe it has much of a chance of happening

Winning would be good enough for me. I don't need no epic beat down glory.

Win is priority. Next is health.

One point better than Denver, all I care about.

Winning the AFC Title game will further cement Brady as the GOAT. It will be a great accomplishment to knock Manning off one last time and head to the much hyped Super Bowl 50.

I am confused by the question. Is simply winning this enough to forever derail any hope of talk of Manning > Brady? Yes. Is simply winning this enough to call it a successful season? Hell no. For other teams getting to the Super Bowl is a huge accomplishment and successful season, for the Patriots only a Lombardi Trophy would be considered successful.

I understand how hard of a Super Bowl this would be for the Pats, definitely the hardest game of the year. But hey, you can't win it, if you ain't in it. Let's go get in it!!

No. I don't care on the score. But I'm greedy and now I want the milk crate in my sig.

I kinda hear what you're saying, but if they can win 2 more games this postseason, I truly believe this team has a chance for the first ever three peat. Next years 53 will be loaded.

Win and move on

If the game plays out the way I'm picturing it, we will be up comfortably by the half or soon after it....where finally.. Steven Jackson will be featured because all we will have to do is kill the clock baby :p:cool:

oh ffs no one will care how large the victory is, only who wins

This version of manning sucks. We need to exposed the forehead. Injuries where a
huge reason in 2013.
