Chris Harris shoulder injury

I agree that they'll try to press, but luckily Edelman excels at beating press coverage. Gotta get your hands on a guy before you can jam him.

Yeah, I agree. Edelman can kill you no matter what strategy you take: give him a free release and he is the perfect quick-release guy for Brady. Try to jam him, and he wiggles free and is now behind you or lateral to you. Roby is probably the match up, but I bet they also have the linebackers squat in the middle to effectively have Edelman doubled in the middle. Denver's best plan is to force everything outside the numbers.

Probably, and that's fine with me. If you're devoting two guys to Edelman and two guys to Gronk, then someone's going to be open pretty much immediately after the snap. That's a nice recipe for Amendola and White to both have big games.

omar bolden also seriously injured his knee

thats a big blow to their special teams which actually gave them their first score.

Torn PCL, apparently. He's out for the rest of the season (aka the next 3 weeks).

No it just highlights the need for a big fast SE WR . Losing Aaron Dobson hurts as there is no one else save LaFell who earns his keeep with outside mid routes and his tanacious blocking.

Well, I'm not so sure that losing Dobson hurts that match, since he has yet to ever show up as a credible downfield threat (frankly, he has yet to show up as a consistent threat of any kind). It doesn't have to be a "big" receiver, just one with a legitimate route tree that creates real exposure beyond 15-20 years. Look at TY Hilton, Cruz, Beckham, etc.. -- they aren't conventionally big and physical, but they have the combo of speed, quickness, and route running abilities to be credible mid-and-long range threats. They change the defensive scheme.

If you review what deep passes the guys you mention catch, it is long middle of the field on long posts. They are smalish flanker type receivers not Split Ends. We need a horizontal deep receiver for outside the numbers type of catches, i.e. Split End routes. . They need this to open the field up. Dobson hasn't stayed on the field because of injuries, but he does seem to get deep and catch outside the numbers further downfield than La Fell.

Once again it is the difference between adding stars as others do, and BB building a team with full capability.

How good is Roby?

Their secondary right now looks like a juicy quinoa and avocado filet to Tommy.

After losing Bruton and Bolden, and with Harris severely compromised, it is "Talib and Ward and Pray For Rain".

Denver will play a ton of man to start the game. And stay with it as long as they have success.

If we get them in zone, Brady should have a field day.

This game will be won at the line. The Giants 2008 secondary was awful remember that? Gotta slow down the rush enough for Brady to throw the ball. Ware will play. He was out in November. The Donks secondary is not what the Pats have to worry about. It's keeping Brady upright.

If talib is allowed to hold and interfere like he did against the steelers we have no chance.

I could not believe a couple of those non calls. The non PI call in the end zone was just ridiculous.

Geez, can't you see the ref had his line of sight blocked and clearly wasn't in position to make the call.

While I agree that they have to keep Brady upright, that 2008 offense operated much differently. I think if this team went up against the 2008 Giants, this offense would have a field day.

Make no mistake about it, Ward knows exactly which knee Gronk had injured by one of his protegees in the last Pats vs Broncos game and will be gunning for it the entire time on Sunday.... because hes a f***ing scumbag that tries to take players out with dirty/cheap hits and has his entire career

While the captains are on the field at the start of the game the NE captains should tell the DEN captains that if Ward or anyone else takes a shot at Gronk's knees then they can count on Thomas, etc. being put on IR the next day.

so blatant but the league obviously wants the choker in the SB...just for him to get obliterated by the panthers
