So Who Is Boycotting TV This Week?

Me me me me me!!

No need to torture myself with "They can't win in Denver" and the ManninHGH ball washing.

I will listen until it becomes Chandler Jones & whether he is on PCP 24/7, or more likely this week, how many games Danny Amendola should be suspended for a legal hit or whatever the new fabricated controversy is for this week, rather than a breakdown of what could be a very good matchup.

always..never feel the need to listen to other so called expert opinions when I have watched every snap of this team and can form my own opinions. Don't know why so many feel the need to have others in the media share their own opinions..

As much as I love football I never watch midseason talk anymore. Whether it's former players who can't form a sentence, crazy bias against the Patriots or whatever, I really don't care to hear what they have to say. I read stuff here and some of the great Pats guys on twitter, that's all I need.

Who are your recommended guys on Twitter?

Nope. I'm recording everything. I'm appreciating everything this team has once again managed to accomplish. It's truly amazing. I'll fast forward through the Manning ball washing to get to the few bits praising the Pats and Brady.

As it has been all season long, I won't be watching any NFL-related stuff on TV. I will come here for my Patriots and NFL news and watch Celtics games during the week.

Who are your recommended guys on Twitter?
My favorites :

Those not with major newspapers/tv :

@PP_Rich_Hill (probably the best analysis)
@PatriotsHaven
@NEPatriotsDraft
@NEPD_Loyko (way over the top homer but still interesting)

Those with major media are fairly obvious but :

@DougKyed
@MikeGiardi
@jeffphowe

are my favorites.

I don't follow a ton because I avoid those that tweet too much superfluous stuff. I try for a happy medium of lots of tweets but a high percentage of useful ones.

I read what I want online ... don't watch any shows ... there's no need.

Yeah there will be no NFLN or BSPN on my TV this week, don't need a week's worth of ********.

I can't think of any particular reason to avoid television viewing that didn't already exist.

Ever since Deflategate started, I have not watched NFLN or any other show related to the NFL. I have however re-watched the SB and ' Do Your Job' and last years Colts game a gazillion times. I do that every few weeks to fill the days leading up to the games on Sunday. I will probably watch the SB again sometime this week. I come on this site for Patriots news and my Facebook feed sometimes gives me some nice articles. That's all I need !

I was intending on avoiding all news media this week but got in my car this morning and the radio was tuned to the ESPN station. Before I turned it off, they started talking about Tom Brady.

Much to my amazement, it was Mike Greenberg, saying (I am paraphasing here):

You know, before this season I thought that Brady had probably set himself apart are the greatest QB ever. With what he has done this year, at age 38, how can anybody argue otherwise? Nobody has been this good at that age, and he's arguably better than he ever was, right now.

Golic of course played the contrarian and said that he can't say who is best, with all the rule changes in the different eras.

Chris Carter then agreed with GREENBERG, saying that Brady was number one without a doubt, though he said that Brady now doesn't throw the ball "all around the field" now like he did in 2007 and so he was no longer at the very peak of his game, but that he still has crazy accuracy and a killer instinct that makes him the best at this age, even.

Nobody brought up framegate or spygate or any "gate". Nobody tried to compare him with Manning and equate them in any way.

I was stunned.
I AM stunned.

Is it so obvious that even at least a few of the ESPN MORONS can no longer deny the truth?

You can watch whatever you want this week... and especially listen to 98.5... as long as you subsequently or perhaps simultaneously perform the following cleansing ritual...

The only time I really watch NFL related stuff during the week is if I am on a treadmill. Running to music while watching Sportscenter is fine because I can see highlights and form my own opinion.

I'll listen to NFL Radio until it gets unbearable. Mornings are hit and miss (I do not listen at all when Sharpe is mushmouthing it up), in early afternoon Bruce Murray is a hater but his co-hosts are usually ok, and I LOVE Jim Miller and Pat Kerwin on my drive home.

I haven't watched tv for 3 years. I want to but there's an evil force preventing me. Coincidentally my daughter was born 3 years ago.

I am going to attempt to boycott any sports channel this week due to Manning-Mania.

This week will be a Netflix week for me lol.

Anyone else?
I'll listen to 98.5 from ten to two and weei from two to six and that's it. i can't even stomach the local crap like csn and sports tonight anymore. absolute garbage programming.

I've been bingeing on Club MST3K, dedicated to the funniest show in TV history. This site connects you to ALL existing seasons of this watershed show. Media blackout for me.

Completely given up NFLN and ESPN, will not watch pregame or postgame shows on any network, always watch the Patriots and whatever I can stomach of the other usually crappy games. Just got tired of all the ignorant, biased commentators. Life is too short to give a **** about what Marshall Faulk or Peter King thinks. Why watch something that is at the same useless and aggravating? I DVR whenever I can so I can avoid never ending commercials for ****ty beer (Bud Light, Miller Lite and Corona Light), ****ty pizza (Papa John's, Pizza Hut), phones and ****ty cars. There's a reason the NFL has to bombard us with 'Why we love football" and Together we make Football" propaganda - their product stinks.

Go Pats! Screw everything else about the NFL.
