Per FootballZebras, AFCCG referee likely to be good ole Ed Hochuli

i'm not thrilled with Hochuli. would much rather have vinovich.

Is there any truth to the rumor that Hochuli wants to publish a "Refs of the NFL" Calendar, kind of like the hunky Firefighter's Calendars in many US cities, where the firemen show off their six packs and flex their biceps? Just wondering.

Amazingly, FootballZebras said on Twitter the other day they'd been told that crew got a perfect grade for the game!

Kinda shows it was rigged, if that was the case really.

Makes sense that they gave them a perfect grade. Tony Corrente is most likely the Super Bowl Head Ref. Still know way that game should have been a perfect grade.

I wouldn't put too much stock into that. Every time there is a controversial call in any game, football zebras on Twitter will defend the ref and always argue that the ref crew handled it correctly. They are biased. They usually hit the nail on the head when it comes to referee assignments though

Also, they're saying for the super bowl that while tony corrente and clete blakeman are both in it, they have suggested that there's a better chance that it's gonna end up being blakeman

denver hates vinovich so it will be hoculi of course. Have we won any game this season with hochuli?

1-1

Won vs Giants
Loss vs Dolphins

There was no actual penalty because at the time the flag was thrown, an official believed a penalty had taken place, but after further discussion with the other officials, the infraction has been deemed not to have happened. First down Denver.

Not good news, but better Hochuli than Blakeman, Boger, Triplette, Steratore, etc.

Agreed with the above posters, though - I wish Vinovich could officiate every game.

Oh please, not guns kissing Hock-a- loogie. Well, it was a nice season guys. Maybe next year.:(

I like Gene Steratore...what do you guys think of him?

Don't leave it up to the officials and destroy the donkeys. I got a feeling that bill will respect manning and keep him in the pocket. Pittsburgh has awful coaching. They let the donkeys hang around.

What's wrong with Steratore? I think he does a pretty decent job.

I also agree that Craig Wrolstad did a fine job in the divisional. Officiating seemed to be a complete non-factor in that game. Notwithstanding the moronic chirping of Dan Fouts , I haven't really heard any complaining about the calls in that game.

that's just the blogger's opinion as to who he thinks will get it. it will be one of McCauley, Blakeman, Corrente or Wrolstad. Wrolstad has not been a referee long enough for the SB. McCauley could still get it because he's done many super bowls before.
Terry McCauley did the Broncos Seahawks SB two years ago so it's highly unlikely he'd get it again so soon. As you said, wrolstad is ineligible as he hasn't been a ref long enough. I think it will be blakeman, who was the ref in the Carolina- patriots regular season game two years ago that ended with a controversial picking up of a potential DPI flag on the last play of the game

Wouldn't that be something if he's the ref for SB50 and its pats-panthers
