We won't be relying on time of possession to win this game. While the poor performance in Denver has been a problem in the past, I wouldn't stack this Broncos team as a deserving #1 or #2 seed. Their offensive woes almost cost them the game against a dinged up Steelers team and they only got it done after the Steelers had been out there for most of the second half.
If the Patriots can control the time of possession game, that should help to nullify the late game fatigue in the high altitudes. I hope Brady milks the clock longer than usual this game.
What? 0-10% chance Really? Maybe if Brady and the whole offense and defense suddenly came up with the measles I would still put them at 20-30%.
Yes, I agree. He clearly went down to avoid a sack, but wasn't touched; then, when he saw he had a play and didn't hear the whistle, he got up.I saw Manning give himself up. I then saw him get up and comlete a big pass. The officials didn't see that or know what he was doing?
He turtled. Tucked the ball with 2 arms and laid there.
It has zero to do with Denver. Peyton doesn't scare me. The team doesn't scare me.
Playing dirty scares me. Committing penalties on every play with zero flags scares me. You are right, Manning in the cold Next week is a hot mess. Which is why the non calls and hair pulling will be at an all time high next week. Numerous TVs will be broken.
That's what I'm "scared" of.
You left out Hightower being knocked out of the game. The Pats had a two score lead last game against a mobile QB who used his legs to make plays, and the Pats were missing Edleman, Amendola and Collins, no Gronk for the game's end and a rookie fielding punts.
Great, he got flushed and fell to avoid a sack. Doesn't mean he gave himself up. There was no contact made by a defender and no one in the area by the time he got back up.
Sorry, I don't believe he gave himself up and at the end of the day, if your defense can't lay a finger on old man Manning when under pressure, you deserve that to happen to you. That's poor defense, plain and simple, not rigged officiating.
I find your lack of faith disturbing. I'm just going to leave it at that.
manning has done this many times...it was obvious he was sliding down to avoid the hit. That is giving yourself up.Great, he got flushed and fell to avoid a sack. Doesn't mean he gave himself up. There was no contact made by a defender and no one in the area by the time he got back up.

You seem to have the NFL won't do shady sh*t blinders on.
Newsflash. What did the officials do to the Pats last time in Denver? Did or did not the officials call numerous pro Broncos penalties and lack of pro Patriot penalties? In critical situations?
You seem to think I come from a team on team standpoint.
It's not. You have a hard time reading? It's about the NFL. It's about what THEY will do, not the Patriots. If you find that disturbing, I suggest you do some reading on a subject called Deflategate and tell me the current status of said situation? And who is pushing that situation?

My friend, the NFL is not going to go out there and blatantly rig a game, especially with the world watching.
I don't need to read anything on Deflategate, I lived through it on this board.
And the point remains, the refs making a few calls will NOT be the difference between a win and a loss. They made bad calls last time these two teams faced and at the end of the day, the players and coaches lost the game.
You had a 14 point lead and decided to throw a rookie out there to catch punts and you decided to throw with the lead at game's end instead running to milk the clock. The refs did NOT cause the Pats to lose and they won't here.
You're foolish to think this game will be rigged WWE style.
The muffed punt opened the floodgates. When even Felger says you got hosed by the officials, what else is it than WWE? One mistake and it allows them to release the hounds. We shall see. All things even? Pats win by 20. Don't believe it will be.
Btw Tim Donaghy says hello.
