The Key?

Cut off the head and kill the snake.

We need to stop the run - - and do it better than we did last night in the first half. If we don't allow Anderson and Hillman to run wild, we will win.

Except they are not going to Denver injured........

Exactly! They played well enough to win the game without Edelman and Amendola. Btw Harper won't be fielding punts either. They just beat the best team in that Division yesterday and they are going to beat the pretender this Sunday.

Projected weather for Sunday in Denver is 49 and sunny

wait, how can anyone on this board watch that game and be "scared" of this team??? Did anyone see manning today? guy could not complete a pass over 5 yards most of the game. alex smith is a better qb and at least he can scramble. AND this was manning on TWO WEEKS REST. now he gets only 7 games.

field goals are NOT going to beat the patriots. If the pats were playing today by the 4th quarter there wouldnt be a chance for the broncos to steal it because they would be up 10+

and the Steeler receivers were OPEN all over the field against that vaunted defense.

dont be frightened by the fear of 2013. that was when manning was still manning, he had the best offense of all time arguably and the patriots had edelman and no one else and Talib took himself out of the game.

I'd be really surprised if we don't handle business. Last time we had no Collins, dola, je11, hightower left early and bunch of bs calls against us. We are certainly better now than then. Can't say same for broncos.
If referees throw flags on every pats third down catch, I don't see how pats win the game. I agree we are a better team than den and should win on a level ground.

Broncos offense looked like Chiefs but without the mobility at QB. Run, all passes short.

calm down. there wasnt anything egregious in this game either. People act like playing pittsburgh at home would be a slam dunk win with AB, deangelo williams back and those receivers? I would rather our defense face a noodle armed manning

They won't have to play contain, just tee off on twelve head...
This! They are gonna tee off on five head. I predict 2 picks and a comfy 10pt win..... I don't think they will have success on the ground either. Anderson played great once the track was slimy. There were pats players there who just didn't deal with the poor footing well. They better pray for snow!

Hopefully it's wrong, forecast this far ahead aren't very meaningful.

Agree. Or put another way: just like in 2013 when we lost in Denver. I was in peace with myself, knowing that with all those injuries there was no shot we would be able to handle the Seahawks in the Superbowl. I was also looking forward to seeing the Seahawks dismantle the Broncos, which is exactly what ended up happening.

Here is how I see it:

1. If we win - great - Superbowl bound baby!
2. if we lose to these 5hits, we would certainly lose to AZ/CAR.
3. If we lose, we'll get the joy to sit home and watch AZ/CAR pull a replay of SB48 on the Donkeys.

Either way, it's a win-win situation for us.
It's a must win to me, Peyton would have a winning record vs the Patriots in the playoffs.

Snow would kill them more than help them.

Let's not forget Manning, who historically cannot play in the cold, will be under center, not Osweiler.

Your right about that but Anderson really would excel. At this point I see him as more of a threat.

It's wind we need. Manning's noodle arm won't be able to handle that.

The refs are gonna screw us. This will be Goodell's triumphant moment he's been waiting for all season.

I think cold would be even better than wind. Like 20 degrees, what the hell, and windy!

The Broncos had some players out too. Harris didn't play, Ware didn't play, and Ward left in the first.

I thought Ware was the one who recovered the fumble in the 4th quarter?

If the patriots come our firing on all cylinders there won't be much goodell, crooked refs, mile highs air...can do..if we can put Manning in a position where the only chance to win is by airing it out, we will win convincingly. If Patriots get caught in the moment and allow Denver to hang on for too long, thats when things may get sticky! Harris injury is huge!
