See this is where I'm on the fence.

Money wise, do you want a Manning led Broncos team to get annihilated in your 50th Super Bowl?

Or do you want your nemesis to potentially go back to back, but give you a game for the ages?

Knowing the league, they'll take option #1 just to spite the Pats. I have no doubt about that, which means they need to take the refs out of the equation and not let them effect the outcome or give the Broncos gifts, AKA not letting rookies catch punts in the snow or throwing at the end of the game instead of milking the clock.

Agreed. the only way to get the refs out of the equation is by putting this game away early, and KEEPING it away. Pats have a tendency to score a lot points early on, just to let opponents back in the game.

Pats will build 2 scores lead in first half. Den will close gap and win in 2nd half, with some help from zebras. Hope I am wrong. But I don't see us win games in Denver even healthy.

The Pats had a two score lead last game against a mobile QB who used his legs to make plays, and the Pats were missing Edleman, Amendola and Collins, no Gronk for the game's end and a rookie fielding punts.

If the Pats have a two score lead this time against the fossil known as Peyton, the refs won't have anything to do with a Patriots loss.

It will be on the team plain and simple.

I hope you are wrong but fear you are right. I think Pats need to destroy them to win this game. If it is close there is a primordial advantage in Denver for them against us.

Can we add a Udfa fumbling a punt in the snow and causing a major momentum swing, when the Broncos supposed #1 defense couldn't shut down a severly depleted Patriots Offense?

Anything can happen, but lets face it if the Pats play their game they win if they beat themselves they lose.

I've got them at 5-10 percent. I've thought a lot about it.

They will mug Gronk with 2 guys 20 yards downfield with zero consequence. All game long. Gronk will also be called for OPI several times.
There will be massive interference on everyone else also.
They will hurt someone. Or try to. Brady, Edelman, Gronk etc.
Anything close will be a PI against the Pats.

I'm not saying they can't win but if they aren't going to call him for giving himself up, what are they going to do next weekend? Peyton is garbage and he will look worse next week because of the hits he took today.

If the NFL had their choice they'd rather not see Denver in the SB getting blown out again. I just believe the hatred for NE is so strong that they'd rather have that, than the Pats even sniffing 50.

Flame away, but I don't see how anything I listed is untrue.

Also need the big lead to mitigate the effect of the thin air late in the game or "shudder" OT

Brady needs to have his best game of the year. He can't airmail wide open TDs to Edelman in that stadium. Pats D was horrible against KC, and choked in the clutch to be honest. KC was lethal on 3rd down--Brady's impeccable play masked NE's defensive ineptitude. In Denver, Pats D will be held hostage by the refs....refs will be totally against us in mile high. It's an effing crime the AFCCG isn't in Foxboro. The refs took that game away from us in Denver this year.

To answer the Q: 50 % we win in Denver. 90 % should have would have could have win in Foxboro

I won't flame you but I do not think you are right. These games are not works of fiction. Refs suck sometimes yes, but honestly their worst mistakes do get highlighted and discussed in the media. These games are not fake or fixed. Some of what you say might happen in subtle ways but the Pats need to go out and kick ass if they want to win this thing in Denver. That is the fact.

If two players are mugging Gronk down field than that just opens up Jules or Dola underneath.

Again, we had Chris Harper taking offensive reps last game and Brandon LaFell was our #1 reciever.

If you think this game is going to be a copy of last game you're kidding yourself. Manning looked like garbage today and he's not going to be much better next week when it's colder.

The pessimism on this site is absurd today and we haven't even reached Monday.

This board is becoming unbearable. I am not sure how anyone can have watched the patriots yesterday and the Broncos today and be crapping their pants in fear. if osweiller was playing, sure. but manning is cooked, done. If patriots get up a couple of scores, no way manning can come back throwing those ducks

You really think 12 points on field goals in the 4th quarter is going to beat the Patriots? they would probably have 30+ on the board by then.

I saw Manning give himself up. I then saw him get up and comlete a big pass. The officials didn't see that or know what he was doing?

Honestly, if we can't get by Denver we have no business playing in the Superbowl anyway. Most of the NFC teams, either still playing or already eliminated, look far better than either Pitt or Denver did today.

ya, I find this hilarious. Fans on this board are petrified of a peyton manning who cant throw past 5 yards, and that defense...when you would have to face crason palmer or cam newton both with very good offenses and defenses in the superbowl

I saw Manning fall to avoid a sack, go untouched, get up and throw a pass.

There's nothing there I saw that was illegal.

And that really is besides the point. The Pats just easily beat a team who the last time the played Manning in Denver they emasculated him. The Pats are healthy and are playing someone who can barely move in the pocket, let alone throw downfield bombs on target.

If you're scared of current Manning in the cold, well then I don't know what else to tell you.....

and yet, the same fans feel that facing ben roethlisberger with antonio brown and deangelo williams healthy and that receiver core would be a slam dunk..

defensively I would MUCH rather face denver. considering what pittsburgh did to them. field goals isnt going to cut it against new england

What? 0-10% chance Really? Maybe if Brady and the whole offense and defense suddenly came up with the measles I would still put them at 20-30%.o_Oo_O

He turtled. Tucked the ball with 2 arms and laid there.
It has zero to do with Denver. Peyton doesn't scare me. The team doesn't scare me.

Playing dirty scares me. Committing penalties on every play with zero flags scares me. You are right, Manning in the cold Next week is a hot mess. Which is why the non calls and hair pulling will be at an all time high next week. Numerous TVs will be broken.

That's what I'm "scared" of.

It is going to be so ****ing sweet hoisting the AFC Championship trophy in Denver. I can't wait! Wish it were a night game so Old PeyPep didn't get some ****ass 50 degree clear skies weather but I guess the better the weather the smaller the chances of turning the ball over

I feel the same way.

Posters on this board were mad we drew the Chiefs, deeming them the toughest out and under the belief that they would've gone into Denver and beat them.

Okay, well we just beat that team and saw the Bronocs look like crap and beat a team where their QB was injured on his throwing arm and missing their starting RB and arguably the best WR in the NFL.

Wow, so scary......LOL
