The biggest thing here is, if the Pats, being the healthiest they've been since pretty much early November, can't beat a duck throwing Peyton Manning led Broncos, (whom they previously should have beaten sans injuries and a muff punt and against a better QB no less) than whomever they face in the Super Bowl would've destroyed them anyways.

There's no point in being scared of playing Denver in Denver. If this team is the better team as we all assume, they'll get the job done.

If they can't beat the Broncos, they've got no shot against Carolina or Arizona.

Sorry, but Denver in Denver is a million times of an easier game than Arizona or Carolina on a neutral field in Northern California, especially if the weather is bad on Sunday.

Agree. Or put another way: just like in 2013 when we lost in Denver. I was in peace with myself, knowing that with all those injuries there was no shot we would be able to handle the Seahawks in the Superbowl. I was also looking forward to seeing the Seahawks dismantle the Broncos, which is exactly what ended up happening.

Here is how I see it:

1. If we win - great - Superbowl bound baby!
2. if we lose to these 5hits, we would certainly lose to AZ/CAR.
3. If we lose, we'll get the joy to sit home and watch AZ/CAR pull a replay of SB48 on the Donkeys.

Either way, it's a win-win situation for us.

As long as our D plays good Denver's pass game should not hurt us. We did good against their run last time until Hightower went out and then they ran over us. Penalties were pretty much even between Pitt and Denver with it being 5 for Pitt and 4 for Denver and Denver had more yards in penalties. If the refs call it clean and we don't lose any key players we can win. That said I can see the WWNFL tilt this one hard towards Denver.
Was it just a great defensive game plan for the most part by the Steelers or does Peyton just flat out sucks that bad?

My 2 cents...

- Broncos 2013 would destroy Broncos 2015
- The same Chiefs team we just beat went into Denver and dismantled them.
- Alex Smith and his offense > Peyton Manning.
- The Patriots defense has a history of making Peyton more confused than Caitlyn Jenner in a pair of Duluth Workman's boots.

Call me crazy but I think the Pats got exactly what they wanted a rematch in Denver.Brady was really pissed about the last game there and
the way we blew it.

Pats have rarely won HANDILY all year ....never mind having all these injuries...and playing in Denver......going to be yet another heart attack special....going to be extremely tough for pats to beat donks AND the officials

Ahhhh what year are you in?

With the exception of the Giants game, all the wins were handily won.

Maybe someone should explain "handily" to you.

They'll put Bradley roby on Jules

That just frees up Amendola or Martin/White.

Harris being gimpy is a big concern for them.

If the Pats go 5 wide, Roby, Talib, Ward, Bolden and a LB won't be able to control Gronk, Edleman, Anendola, White and LaFell/Martin.

Only concern is can the line handle Ware, Miller, etc to give Brady enough time to find the open reciever.

Can't say I feel good about this game, to be honest. Last time we went into Denver with an injured team it didn't end the way we wanted it to. God damnit.

Except they are not going to Denver injured........

Classic.

...or hitting from the whites or forward tees.

The pats have a better shot against Denver this time than in 2013. The Pats should have Gronk, Edelman and Amendola. I wish we had a running back but you can't have everything!

With that said, I still wish this game was in Foxboro. 50 and sunny or 30 and cloudy. Pats will need to find redemption.

Judging from the reactions in this thread, this forum will be unbearable for a week. How can you be that scared of the team you saw play today? If Pittsburgh was halfway competent they would have won by two scores.

patsfans.com is this way because it was so right all along in the indictment of BB's failure to get the team healthy for the playoffs.

Steelers had a great game plan and held them to 4 field goals. The deciding Td was on a short field after the Steelers RB fumbled.

peyton didnt throw a pick today..a first for the year.
i think we'll be able to force a turnover or 2...

we have to win at all costs. wouldnt be able to stomach the manning fest during the lead up to SB 50.
