They were the closest one's to Larry that had more than him.

He blows all the current receivers out of the water. The next closest is Calvin Johnson, Larry has 15 more than him. Than Reggie Wayne, Larry has 16 more. Than Brandon Marshall, Larry has 19 more. Out of all the receivers that have played the majority of their careers in 2004 or after, Larry has at the very least a 15 TD lead on them. Why? Because he's a future Hall of Famer.

Really? Projection? How about you contact Miss Cleo and Sylvia Brown because they're the only ones that can answer this.

Out of all the receivers that have played the majority of their careers in 2004 or after, Larry has the most TDs. Yet he's not a TD machine... Yeah your logic is ******ed.

You mean when he had John Skelton and co throwing him the ball?

Newsflash. 1400 yards is a good thing.

Antonio Brown is playing his prime football in an era where receiver's numbers are way more inflated than they were 10 years ago.

He hasn't been a dominant player in his career? Yep you really are ******ed.

No he really hasn't been dominant. He's been first team all pro ONCE on his entire career. That's not HOF worthy.

Yeah but the NFL HOF isn't about who is a crackhead or not, its about who dominates on the field.

There's more to being great than numbers, most people who have watched Fitzgerald realize what a great player he is.

And he's not a crackhead.

And Tom Brady has only got it TWICE. That's not HOF worthy.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I believe Fitz is a very good player. I just don't think he's been a dominant player. And HOF players should dominate the league.

Well there are two spots available at WR. Only one at QB. If you tally up the times Brady finished #2 it will put your argument to rest.

1. How many times has Brady finished second team all pro? Please enlighten the class.
2. Going by your All Pro criteria you think Manning is a better QB than Brady.
3. You didn't mention the fact that Larry is an 8 time pro bowler or that he's one of the most dominant postseason wide receivers ever.

tl;dr - You're wrong yet again.

Of course i don't think Manning is better than Brady. The number of all-pros is a threshold criteria that illustrates dominance in the league. I think 3 All-Pro teams is pretty standard for most HOF players. beyond that I think team success is huge criteria, and that includes post season appearances in which the player was a key factor in helping the team reach the playoffs and then post season victories and performances are crucial.

I am saying Fitz is very good, not great. He has not been a dominant regular season player. He has been a special postseason player in a few opportunities. And people like him.

Fair enough. I just have a rule that every time Chris Carter is being discussed the phrase "crackhead" must be used in every sentence.

Which Tom doesn't reach, which leads me to believe that what you think is irrelevant.

Which is Larry.

I'd like you to meet Larry Fitzgerald.

He has the same amount of Pro Bowls as Marvin Harrison and he was considered elite for years. So that's wrong.
He has been a special postseason player in a few opportunities.
Which isn't surprising considering he's a Hall of Fame talent.

Huge fan of Fitzgerald. He appears to be one helluva good guy. There really isn't much more you could ask for from a professional sportsman.

So, basically, you teach West Philadelphia children.

Lol. There are some parts of west philly that is pretty affluent. Near upenn.

I knew a Change was due, but I am disappointed that your new SigPic isn't offensively amusing.

Am I overlooking some subtle yet amusingly offensive Implication?

I'm hoping that you'll break it down for my Dumb Ass. :)

here's a great article about him from the WSJ a few days ago:

Larry Fitzgerald Kills Opponents With Kindness

But cornerbacks say one of the biggest concerns before matching up with the Arizona Cardinals star is the slew of pleasantries, cordial remarks, good-natured comments and otherwise amiable chatter that Fitzgerald throws their way during a game.

As he prepares to lead the Cardinals into a divisional-round playoff game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, Fitzgerald is among the NFL’s leading receivers, with 109 catches for 1,215 yards. But he has emerged as the league’s runaway leader in killing opponents with kindness.

“He’s asking how your family is,” said Washington Redskins cornerback Will Blackmon. “And then he’s trying to bomb you for 70 yards right after.”

Fitzgerald has long been known as one of the most respectful—and widely respected—players in the league. Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has said Fitzgerald is off-limits when it comes to talk trash.

But for players like Munnerlyn, who like to whip themselves into a frenzy for some extra juice on the field, Fitzgerald’s congeniality can be a problem. Munnerlyn, who has faced Fitzgerald multiple times in his career, said he will get himself fired up to face the Arizona receiver. But then Fitzgerald shows up. “All of the sudden, I’ve got a guy coming up to me saying: ‘Hey, Captain, I see you, you’re doing so well this year, keep it up!’” Munnerlyn said. “That’s Fitz. He’s asking how you’re doing, how your family is.”

Wide receivers aren’t usually renowned for their courteous conduct on the field. But players believe Fitzgerald, who did not respond to requests for comment for this story, is being genuine when he throws niceties their way. That doesn’t make it any less uncomfortable, though.

Taylor, now an analyst for the NFL Network, said Fitzgerald is regarded as “one of the rare guys who has lots of money and everyone loves him. He respects the game.” That respect, Taylor said, includes Fitzgerald’s uncanny knack for remembering nearly every fact about players he’s met. “Larry remembers people’s birthdays, anniversaries, just out of the blue,” Taylor said. “You hear stories, guys are like: ‘Hey, where’d this present come from? Oh, Larry Fitzgerald.’ And they’ve only met him one time!”
