I want Denver. Payback for 2013 AFC Championship Game

I keep getting the feeling Pittsburgh is sandbagging the media with all this "we're really crippled bad" B.S. In case anyone has forgotten, the Steelers have a pretty active defense. They don't call them Blitzburgh for nothing. Shut down the run and make Duckley hurl mallards and the Steelers could not only beat Denver, they could ROUT them.

Pittsburgh pressures the QB well and creates turnovers. They're also fairly stout vs. the run.

Weakness on the back end, as we know. I agree that they definitely have the capacity to pull off the upset even without Brown.

I expect Pittsburgh to use the "blueprint" against Manning. If Manning can hit the deep ball to the outside, they'll tip the hat to him, but they're going to shut down the run as best they can, and clog the field in between the numbers.

This needs to be stickied for any "I want Denver/Manning" thread:

Getting Denver means going on the road.

Brady is only 3-3 on the road in the playoffs.
Brady is 15-3 at home in the playoffs.

Since the ultimate goal is winning the Super Bowl, you have to be a fool to want Denver.

It really is that simple. Who cares who we beat as long as we win. And Pittsburg gives us the best chance to win.

As much as I would LOVE to go into Denver and destroy the Broncos and end Peyton's career with a loss to the GOAT... Being a fan, I want the easiest path. And the easiest path is playing at home against an injured steelers team... Come on Peyton! You have a few more INTs in you!

Oh, and by the way. If we DO have to go to Denver, I think we beat them easily. I think the chiefs will have been a tougher opponent.

I don't think we'd beat Denver easily at their dome in the playoffs. I'd say healthy, we could win 23-20.

I think it would be a tougher game if Peyton wasn't playing. I just don't think he has anything left in the tank. I don't know that he can pull off two good performances in a row anymore. He was great once. Not so great now. I think if we are to lose that game it will be because we perform poorly on offense and have multiple turnovers. With Edelman back I don't see that happening. Alas, that's why they play the games. And if the Broncos beat the Steelers, we will get to find out.

Before we rule Peyton out, let's use the Steeler's game as a blueprint to see if the guy can pass against a D well for a full game.

I want Patriots at home, don't care against who bring on the probowl roster they aren't losing at home.

Long range forecast says Denver will be in the low 50s next Sunday.

Thats ideal noodle arm weather.

I hope the Steelers win so the Patriot fans can have one more home game ...

Other than that ... can't say I really care who wins the game ... we are better than both of them.

Unfortunately it is beautiful here in downtown Denver. 37 and sunny and most folks wearing light weight jacket and hoodies. The sun here makes all the difference but it will disappear soon and the way the stadium sits it blocks a lot of the good late afternoon sun. But it is nice out.

I would so dearly like to see the Steelers beat the Broncos. Oh how that would make my day. I take great pleasure in Mannings playoff failures. It's almost as though I get stronger when he loses.
Sadly, I just don't see it happening.

And to the dude who thinks that because we almost won in Denver earlier this year with a bunch of nobody's, this is a week to week league and what happened in that game has absolutely no barring on this possible game. Seattle beat the Vikings 6 weeks ago 38-0 and should have lost to the Vikes last week. I repeat. That game in Denver has no bearing whatsoever on what happens to the Pats if they go back to Denver next week.

Would not mind playing Denver just to shut the haters

Also sweet revenge would be nice
