Mayo had a shoulder injury and Collins a back, bith were questionable to return when they went out. I feel better, relieved it was A) not a leg injury for either and B) that they were questionable and not immediately ruled out

What i learned: andy Reid still has no idea of how to manage the clock.

Ive never seen such non urgency when down two scores to move down the field.

So why has noone found news about our injuries? Not even a "so and so was not seen in the lockerroom"

Loyko said that Jamie Collins is in pain when he turns side to side, but has told portions he's playing Sunday.

As long as our LB's are good to go, I think we can weather a Chandler Jones missed game.

I had no problem with Amendola's hit. What was it, a 2 yard penalty?

We were speculating that is payback by Danny for a previous hit. He was aware that at most it would be a few yards so it was like a free shot.

Hmm let's look at Brady's group right now...

WR1: 7th round pick (Edelman)
WR2: UDFA (Amendola)
WR3: 4th round pick (Martin)
TE1: 2nd round pick (Gronk)
TE2: 7th round pick (Williams)

Seems like Brady is doing fine... Note that two of the above named were traded away by their teams for basically nothing, which is almost the same as being released, so...

Take away those 2 fluke hail marys on the last drive and Rodgers had just 160 yards for the game. That's pretty much par for the course with WRs and TEs like that. Not sure why that guy was acting like he was doing anything above and beyond despite the supporting cast.

Brady and even Russell Wilson have done way more with less in their careers. For entire seasons.

Rodgers has a depleted supporting cast for like 1 game and people ignore the fact he's had at least two high draft picks at WR or TE on the roster his entire career up until this point.

I was nervous about our offense and confident in our defense going into this game. Now, with Jones, Collins, Mayo hurt and Hightower dinged up, I'm confident in our offense and nervous of our defense next week. I hope these injuries are minor, and maybe they can get some injections like Gronk because apparently it worked.

I mean seriously, it's like someone lined up all our defensive super stars and ran them over with a bulldozer.

Congrats to Brady and the pats for a whale of a game. We did not possess the ball for most of the game, but when we did have it, we made it count.

Defense deserves a ton of credit for keeping them out of the end zone for the entire first half.

  • Interesting game. After our first drive, I felt a comfort I had not experienced since early November.
  • I was more afraid of injuries than the Chiefs.
  • It appears Edelman is ok and it was a precautionary x-ray shot.
  • Can anybody tell me what Dola was thinking with that cheap shot? WTH?
  • I think special teams had more penalties than any unit out there today. How do you line up offside for a kickoff?
  • I think injuries are just a function of playing too deep into the season for so long. 5 straight AFC Championship games is no joke.
Great game!! I had the same feeling as you. Once they came out & went right down the field and scored I knew we were going to win, but at the same time, the game felt close and competitive until the very end.

I want to say thanks to Edelman, Gronk, Vollmer and anyone else who played despite pretty serious injuries, and played so well. The game plan was great and they executed it to perfection on offense. Whether it was the return of Vollmer & Edelman, or two weeks off for rest and practice, the O line played great. The Chiefs never really got near Brady all night, except for one cheap shot, for which they were flagged.

It seems Edelman is okay, but a little worried about all the injuries on D. I was at the game and did not notice that all those guys went out - just that we were having so much trouble containing Smith. On every third down play it seemed that either he ran free, or when the D tried to contain him, someone else was wide open in the flat. Maddening! But at least all the injuries, esp. to the linebackers, explain it. Also, we will not have to face a mobile QB next week. I thought Smith was way better than advertised - he played really well, just couldn't punch it in in the first half and too plodding, which helped them keep Brady off the field in the first half, but was their undoing in the 2nd.

I don't know what Danny was doing, but I don't think he was trying to hurt the guy. It's almost like it was the little kid taking his one shot when he could, just to make the big guys respect him. Calling for a suspension is ridiculous, but a fine is probably on its way.

It's incredible that Andy Reid has STILL not learned clock management since the 2004 Super Bowl. As the Chiefs sat there fiddling away what felt like an eternity before the 2 minute warning, everyone in the stands was laughing at them in disbelief. My daughter was asking what happens when they score here and if they recover the on-side kick, and I told her it didn't matter as they did not leave themselves enough time to score two touchdowns. Hello Andy, you need two scores here, not one!! Gronk was clutch on the on-side recovery as usual.

That's all I have for now. Great game by the Pats. Thank you to my team for being the best pro team on earth in the last 15 years. How lucky am I to have been a fan for so many years, never guessing how great this ride was going to be!

Wanted to pass along some kudos:

1. Patrick Chung played a huge game, great coverage on Kelce, some big hits.

2. Speaking of which DMC absolutely lit two guys up as well. The Safety play has been underrated this year.

3. The OL played fantastic in a game where we absolutely needed them to. How important is Sebastien Vollmer to this team? Very.

4. Brady is just padding his GOAT CV at this point, we'll never see his like again.

5. Happy with both Steven Jackson and James White and what they're bringing to the table. Imagine if we still had Deion around? We'd be impossible to defend.

6. I didn't notice a single multiple TE set today. Is "Hands of Stone" Chandler injured? Probably just dictated by matchup and a decision that we simply weren't interested in establishing the run anyway so best to get our best set of pass catchers out there. Which most definitely excludes Scott Chandler.

7. Andy Reid has been an NFL coach for how long now and still doesn't understand how to manage the clock or play uptempo when needed? Nice to watch the clock calmly ticking off the time to victory while the Chiefs lollygagged around the line of scrimmage.

8. Knile Davis is a bit of a beast on kickoff returns and showed good burst on some of his runs, wonder why they don't use him more.

9. Would really not like to see the names "Freeny", "Watson" and "Fleming" on the field playing LB much next week.

10. Gronk is so far beyond the next best TE it's a quantum level difference. Please stay healthy for two more games, big guy.

11. Credit to Josh McD and Matt Patricia for the gameplans, they were ideal for the opponent and they stuck to it and let things play out as they ought to have.

Very pleased to not have to deal with much stress on this one. I think we beat either Denver or Pitt so would like to watch the last Brady-Manning bowl. All I ask for is a level playing field if it happens.
