OT: Aaron Rodgers is amazing

i know he sucks on the road but you can't count him out at the end of the game
His history says you pretty much can. When he's behind, he's below average. You're putting an awful lot of stock into two grossly blown coverages.

It was an amazing Hail Mary play, but I'm not going to forget the fact that he only completed a little over 50 percent of his passes in that game, and before that drive only threw for 160 yards and 13 points. (And the one TD was set up by a 60 yard run by Eddy Lacy)

His performance this season really resembled what I've seen out of Eli Manning and Joe Flacco over the years. Huge plays that they make, but wildly inconsistent. While part is to blame for his lackluster Wr's, he's missed some throws he normally doesn't miss this year.

Not sure if people watched that game last night.... Take away those two hail marys and he was mediorce. Was missing guys wide open all night.

His defense held Arizona to 10 points through 56 minutes. Can't really put that game on them.

I would take cam newton over Aaron Rodgers as a physically gifted QB. Aaron Rodgers isn't clutch

Not taking anything away from Rodgers but people seem to forget that on all his hail mary passes, the coverage was real bad. Credit to Rodgers that he could throw the ball high and deep but if the receivers weren't left open and didn't make the catch no one would remember any of those passes.Just my opinion.

Rogers is a great QB. But the success of his team will rise and fall with the talent around him.

The Cards loss brings the discussion between Rogers and Brady is sharp focus.

Brady is not a "gifted" QB, and there's no way his arm can reach downfield the way Rogers's can. But he wins. In every way a player can carry a team, he does it. He motivates and inspires his teammates, and his coaches (e.g. just listen to Josh talk about Brady's work ethic).

I think everyone agrees that Aaron has the strongest (and pretty accurate) throwing arm in the league...

I think he can even throw 100yds given a little more time!

Amazing QB. Joy to watch him play.

I have to agree that until those throws, he wasn't that great last night. And if those throws are dropped, no one remembers them beyond the next day.

I have no idea why the end zone wasn't flooded with DBs.

I admit I am one of the people who root against him for petty reasons. I found it very frustrating towards the beginning of the season when he was so lavishly praised and hyped while Brady was being called a cheater. Brady just won his fourth Super Bowl putting himself in the conversation with Montana as the greatest ever and there was very little attention given to that by the media who were busy worshipping Rodgers.

Rodgers is an oustanding QB. His strengths are due to his physical abilities which are very easy to see. While Brady's strengths' are his intelligence, determination, and his poise. These are much more difficult to notice unless you have watched him a lot. As a result, I think Rodgers gets a little more credit than he deserves and Brady does not get enough. That's frustrating. Brady won his 22nd playoff game yesterday (against 8 losses) while Rodgers fell to 7-6, yet when I turn on ESPN, everyone is raving about a couple of well thrown and very lucky Hail Mary passes.

I'll vote for Randall Cunningham as the most physically gifted QB but Rodgers is obviously a better QB.

Jump Ball Aaron.

Can't hold a candle to the GOAT. All those physical gifts, none of that fire. Brady made several throws yesterday that were astonishingly good. That one to Jules that threaded through three defenders directly into his breadbasket on 3rd and long was a work of art. The Gronk corner TD couldn't have been better if you froze all the players in time and walked over to place the ball in his hands.

Aaron sure can wing the ball deep when stupid teams for incomprehensible reasons don't flood the End Zone with DBs and pass catchers. But this is the stratosphere of NFL greatness we're talking about, not Punt, Pass and Kick for adults.

His arm is unreal. Can throw long with just flick of the wrist. His 4th and 20 was more impressive which they shoulnt have been if the refs had called PI correctly.

Brady is better, but it's not fair to use last night to make any kind of judgment on Rodgers, considering he was missing key pieces at WR.

and there's no way his arm can reach downfield the way Rogers's can

But it's not like Brady can't throw downfield. He just doesn't need to with how good he is.

To me his passes were strong and long... but where in god's name was the underneath coverage on that last Hail Mary??? Amazing that the game didn't end on that drawn out play. Lucky for the Cardinal backfield that Larry the Fitz bailed them out.
