I want Denver. Payback for 2013 AFC Championship Game

I can't stand the Bronco fans, and I can't stand Peyton either.

Seeing how the Steelers pretty much limped to the divisional round, and they have no Brown + an injured Big Ben, Denver will take this

I would like to beat Manning and Denver as well. I just don't have confidence it'd be a level playing field. If the officiating was fair, I'm sure we'd win but against Manning and Goodell's League Office??? I expect to see the most one sided officiated game in NFL history. This League is capable of doing anything to keep us from winning #5.

Denver will be an easy win. Not sure why people here are afraid of going there. They're extremely overrated and incredibly soft.

Their defense isn't soft, its a pretty ferocious unit that has been consistently one of the best all year... and they have TJ Ward, who I'm absolutely certain will try to take Gronk's bad knee out every chance he gets

Which team would Goodell most want to win the SB, and which QB would Goodell and the mediots most like seeing holding the MVP and getting a ring as a sort of lifetime achievement award?

I want Denver out so that that scenario doesn't get a chance to happen a la Ray Lewis.

Did you watch us put 24 on them with a bunch of nobodies?

how can anyone compare the two teams from 2013 and assume anything?

Our receiving corp was Edelman, Collie, Hooman, Dobson and Mulligan.

Their receiving corp was D. Thomas, Decker, Welker, J Thomas and Tamme.

Seriously, there are no comparisons.

I wouldn't mind beating the Broncos at mile high just so their fans stfu. They are insufferable. However, I think the smarter choice is to play the AFCCG in Foxboro

We can beat any team, but I'll take the path of least resistance. I'm not scared of Denver, but there are a lot of factors that could influence the game much more there than at Gillette.

The patriots lose most of a day due to travel, will operate within a different time zone than their body clock, they'll have to play in the thin air of Mile High, they'll have to play in front of a loud hostile crowd, and will miss out on playing the paper tiger Steelers who couldn't win in Foxboro if you spotted them 20 points as well as shoving it in the faces of Ben and Mike's comments on radio cheating.

On the other hand all of those things do mean a chance for 'payback' against Manning who during almost his whole career against the Patriots has been sucking the hind tit and in general a Denver team who has had no SB success in decades and overwhelmingly been swimming in the Patriots playoff wake for the better part of 16 year.
Count me in with going to Denver!

I don't wanna see denver if the defense will play lil they did today. 3rd down defense was brutal. Need to stop the donkeys running game as well.

stop the run yes.

but smith made a lot of plays running around buying time. peyton can't do that.

belichick will shut his old ass down.

The thin air bro. Something bad always happens in that place.

If Denver wins I want us on the plane on Monday. A week of team bonding with all practices being in the thinner air would go a long way.

I hope DEN at least gets banged up and Steelers play them tough before us

I prefer the path of least resistance, which is to play at Foxboro against a depleted Steelers team.

If the Pats have to go to Denver to send Manning and his Broncos to the glue factory, so be it. But I'd feel a lot better (significantly less paranoid) if Pittsburgh is the next opponent.

Pittsburgh would be coming into Foxboro off of beating the #3 & #1 seeds on the road and potentially getting #84 back off of the concussion protocol.

This is always a "be careful what you wish for" situation. Whoever wins, wins. Maybe a couple guys on the winning team get banged up, that could help. Other than that you can make a case for what you think is a 'better' matchup but declaring either team an easier road is probably best left alone.
Yes, but I'll still take the Pats at home against anyone than @ Denver. From Elway to the guys in stripes, that place has been a house of horrors for us.

It is going to be Denver. Like I said before...if you are scared, go get a dog.

Meet "Brutus" (Buckeye), the newest addition to our fam. While he will grow up to be one helluva intimidating German Shepard in the next 6 months, he's not alleviating too many concerns right now. ;)

I agree with you. We're onto Denver, Brady's 2-6 record and all. Let's hope the offense keeps rolling and we're able to run the ball a bit, though.

This needs to be stickied for any "I want Denver/Manning" thread:

Getting Denver means going on the road.

Brady is 3-3 on the road in the playoffs.
Brady is 15-3 at home in the playoffs.

Since the ultimate goal is winning the Super Bowl, you have to be a fool to want Denver.

I keep getting the feeling Pittsburgh is sandbagging the media with all this "we're really crippled bad" B.S. In case anyone has forgotten, the Steelers have a pretty active defense. They don't call them Blitzburgh for nothing. Shut down the run and make Duckley hurl mallards and the Steelers could not only beat Denver, they could ROUT them.
