mmmm. I though he was going to play. I might need to change my pick now.

I knew when he didn't practice on Wednesday that he was never going to get through the concussion protocol.

In fact, I kinda knew when they said on Saturday night he had a concussion that he was very unlikely going to play on Sunday. Since they turned the protocol over to independent doctors, very few if any players who get a concussion play the following week.

Looks like the Broncos are going to be last year's Colts, The Colts last year beat a better team in the division round because the Broncos were depleted by injuries and Manning's age. This year, the Steelers have been playing far better than the Broncos down the stretch, but now Brown and Williams are out and Roethlisberger is injured.

Looks like Pacman is going to have to "apologize." The bum should have been put behind bars years ago.

Well, Pitt still has two talented receivers, but i think losing Brown is too much to win going into Denver.

How do you figure? Please offer some specifics, because I need reason for optimism.

I didn't see the Steelers beating Denver with or without Brown.

I wont complain if they did though. I think the Patriots match up great with PIT and will roll them in the AFCCG assuming of course both teams get there.

What's the word on Williams? Is he good to go?

27-10 Donks. Sorry guys. Close for the 1st half. Then Donks D puts them away.

Absolutely. Pitt is by far our best matchup.

Peyton Manning:

14 playoff runs
9 times one-and-done
6 times one-and-done at home

I hope that helps your optimism.

My fault

The Broncos are in better shape to make it to the Super Bowl than they have any right to be. God help Peyton against ARZ/CAR/SEA should they get there.

The Steelers picked the Broncos apart last time around with the quick passing game. As long as Ben can put some zip on the ball 10-15 yards downfield, they could still have a very good chance. He wasn't launching rockets to receivers on deep posts and go routes last time around. I wouldn't exactly call it a win, esepecially without Brown and Williams. But it's not like they need Ben to go deep at all. They didn't need it last time around. That said, if the Steelers still end up pulling this out, I think this goes down as the most embarrassing one and done for Manning in his career since the reason for that happening will more than likely be turnovers by Denver's offense.

Deangelo Williams has been wearing a walking boot all week. He ain't playing

Is Peyton manning starting? If so Pittsburgh should be just fine

Of course, I get that. I just need more to go on in the context of this game specifically -- with Ben hobbled, his biggest weapons sidelined, and Pittsburgh's defense less than stout. It's not even going to be cold.

Were I Vontaze Burfick, I wouldn't go near the State of Pennsylvania without wearing a bulletproof body suit.
