Will Chandler Jones Dominate Saturday?

I think BB will sit him for some time at the start of the game. It would be par for the course. Whether it will be a series or a quarter, I don't know.
I certainly hope Belichick doesn't do anything like that. The whole "you're punished for a series" thing is lame, and one of the few times BB doesn't seem to have the right approach. Like when he sat Welker after the foot references--it proved nothing, but seemed to take the wind out of the team's sails a bit.

Play him or don't, no half-measures.

Play him! Anything less would be idiotic he is still a productive member of this defense.

Judging by Jones' comments, he obviously fully expects to play. Whether BB will sit him for a series or two is another question.

He'll definitely put out 110% because of the stuff this week. He feels like he's let down his coach and his team.

who did he tell that he feels like he let his coach and team down?

One knock on Chandler in terms of his play: before that sack in the Super Bowl last year, I can't remember another playoff game where he even had a sack. Hasn't really dominated in playoff games at all.

His problem is he seems to peak in late September/October, then runs out of gas come late in the year.

Bingo... That pretty much sums up Chandler Jones. He's good, above average DE. However , in big spots he usually isn't the guy stepping up to make a play. As the season progresses Jones tends to fade to the back of the pack. He's still a very good player, glad to have him on our side but he's not one of those "I'm going to take over this game" or "Count on me to make the big stop" late in the game type of guy.

Chiefs oline only has 2 starters on it. Our dline should have a huge game

Kinda like our Oline. I hope they handcuffed those guys together for the last two weeks.

Honestly this team deserves a break

If there were true balance in the universe Chandler's "secret stash of muscle relaxers" might find their way into the Chief''s locker room...

He may be called to play more contain. We'll see.
Just want to see the Patriots play, this 2 week delay is only good if it's before the SB (though I appreciate the extra rest the team gets, just less fun as a fan).
Why would he be playing more contain than the norm? Alex Smith is not much of a rusher, and when he does scramble it's not usually outside the tackles.

#91 and #54 can handle Smith should he decide to run for the hills.

I expect him to play the whole game. The Welker thing didn't work out and that was probably a team policy..to not say anything stupid about the opponent.

Here Chandler did something dumb - but probably not against team or NFL policy. Likely he thought that synthetic stuff didn't really work - or was milder then weed or whatever.. That's foolish but forgivable..

Jones is a rock solid player, but when has he ever dominated a game? That's just not his game. He keeps guys inside and makes opportunistic sacks. He's not JJ Watt.

Having Hightower and Collins on the field will make a huge difference. Alex isn't rushing anywhere.

Not sure if Jones will get any sacks but someone will. This will be the first time in a long time that we will see the complete front 7 on the field at the same time and with at least 2 weeks of rest.

This defensive unit has the ability to carry this team into the SB. Offensively they will have to take what they can get.
