Reiss/Schefter: Gronk Got Knee Injection At Hospital Today

breaking news!!! Bill Belechick's severe hemorrhoidal attack led him to punch himself in his own eye.Doctors say the ***hole's ***hole has been flaring up since the Eagle game when a stray beak caught the tender low hanging skin protruding from his sphincter ring.Local media sources are frantically buying up every piece of spelunking gear they can find on the market in anticipation of a long, protracted exploration of Belechick's strata chocolata....more on this and the death of Rob Gronkowski right here at KDRM-A, the home of canned pop music and hard hitting, incisive "Entertainment Tonight" style news....

In my book, Reiss is the most credible where the Pats are concerned, so for now I'm inclined to believe him.

Like you, I would trust Mike over Ian

But, I would think one source has to be from the team, the other has to be from Gronks agent. The question is who is Rap/Mike sources?

I am thinking Mike is the team source, Ian the agent source. Who is blowing smoke, who knows.

heh...wrong handle pal...try Mr. Subjective

Most knee injections help lubricate the joint/reduce swelling and ease pain.

Why does he need this if he only has a bone bruise? I hate to stir up panic but it's probably worse than a bone bruise.

Please don't just assume a bunch of things. Injections are used for bone bruises.

So Rappaport says no injection in knee and Reiss says treatment on knee which included an inj . Reiss didnt really say inj in knee .

Not according to the article:

"New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowskispent part of Thursday in a Boston hospital getting treatment on his injured right knee which included an injection, according to a source familiar with the procedure....."
trying to figure out the timing. Any help is welcome.
did they wait until today because the injury is new? That doesn't seem likely.
did they wait because he wasn't recovering as well as expected after playing against Miami? Maybe.
or were they planning all along to do it today for maximum effect on Saturday, 48 hours before the game? That would be the most encouraging I guess.

If reiss said no injection and rappoport said injection. Then the chicken littles would say rappoport would be the one to believe

Not at all.

People think if Maclin really has an ankle sprain that he would miss this game or if he plays be hobbled at best.

As for the Pats being healthy, people didn't assume they would be 100% healthy, the thought is they will be healthier overall as a team then they were those last few weeks. The defense will have their 11 starters+Sheard active to start the game for the first time since the Dallas game, think about that for a second.

People are just completely ignoring the Pats defense in this game like they have zero say in how the game goes. No one is talking about what if the Pats defense just balls out Saturday and the Chiefs can't really do anything on offense. All the talk is about how the Chiefs have the defense to stop the Pats like its a foregone conclusion that's what the game will come down to.
Thanks. That's a great and much needed perspective. A welcome breath of sanity.

Be careful man, those chicken, errr, negative, errr...glass half empty posters will call you a homer, lol

Now they say he was a DNP with a back issue

His knee hurts. gave him something so his knee won't hurt. If that's it, he should play fine, I'm guessing.

Ok, now im convinced bill is just toying with everyone. All the rumors come out then they updat the injury report to say back and knee?

How did he hurt his back in 2 hours? Lol

He wouldn't be held out from 2 days of critical practice on a playoff week if he wasn't hurt.
